1. How is the Coronavirus situation where you live? What's closed down? Have you gone out much? Are you (Oh, what's the trendy term now " Self-distancing "?) staying inside as a precaution or actually infected or is anyone else you know? I hope, if so, you're well. Let's...well, exchange comments.
  2.   I am now in Portland, Oregon. The Govenor, and then, locally, Portland declared a state of emergency. I saw the comment made that Oregon was the furthest behind on dealing with CV of the 3 West Coast states.
  3.   I went out yesterday ( Sun.), I am ill and had sleep to make up to-day (Mon.) and ended up not going out - I may go out across the street to a all-nite grocery tonite-early Tues. I have not heard of a regular medical appointment Tues. being cancelled.

The class action lawsuits have already begun.

Saw a commercial for one last night.

I think the "second wave" is expected to happen this autumn.

In Southern California we have an a-hole who has opened his gym. He says that if they fine him he will stay open and take the fines and the Governor to Federal court, expecting to win.

“If we can have a ‘second’ wave when the first has not yet peaked.”

“I think the "second wave" is expected to happen this autumn.”

Yes, but there are those here acting as if the first wave magically ended when the calendar turned over to May.I think we're going to have a "second first wave" in about two weeks.

In NYC, the death rate is dropping but that could be the result of social distancing. But I hear the rates in New Jersey and Massachusetts are rising, so we'll see.

My brother says whatever the rules are by July will be the New Normal for the rest of the year.

I reject that phrase "new normal."

There's nothing "normal" about it.

It just struck me that one of Marvel's big reveals for 2020 was going to be the identity of the Masked Raider, and  instead it turned out  to be us under the masks!

I think this is the "very temporary normal."

We just got word today that we're going to be working from until at least Labor Day! That means 6 months away from the office minimum.

My industry (airlines) is in dire financial straits (with layoffs coming), but my job (corporate contracts) is as busy as ever. People may not be flying now, but corporations at least do foresee a time when they will be flying again in the future.

Went to the roof to watch the Blue Angels' flyover. It was nice, but as a "tribute" to frontline COVID-19 responders, pretty meaningless.

It's my understanding that the pilots would be flying somewhere anyway because they have to get in so many hours of flight time each month, but somebody had the idea of turning those mandatory flights into these "tributes."

I heard the jets, Jeff, but I didn't see them.
