Yesterday a friend of mine was talking about what if they did a JLA movie & what characters would you like to see, that sort of thing. Well during the course of the conversation we were discussing storylines that could be used and he brought up the fact with the Avengers you have stories like Kang Wars/Celestial Madonna, The Korvac Saga & Under Siege to name a few but for the JLA most stories were done in one affairs until about COIE.
So, you are Lord high muckity muck in Hollywood, what story would YOU use as a basis for a Justice League movie?

It depends for me. If you want to have a movie in which they are already established as a group. The White Martians, Tower of Babel, or some sort of Injustice League one.
If more of a gathering of heroes to become the JLA, modifying the Legends story for that. Think how great it would be to see them fight a humongous Brimstone on screen. Starro could work as well.

Vs. the Appelaxians. They would have to modify it to include more of Supes and Bats.
Brain Storm. Starbreaker. Amazo. Use the original Ten but substitute Black Canary for Martian Manhunter (sorry, J'onn).
Or adapt some of the Justice League animated series.

Wonder Woman: Lucy Lawless or Catherine Zeta-Jones
Flash: Scott Bakula
Green Lantern: Ben Affleck or Matthew Fox
Aquaman: Jason Statham
Martian Manhunter: CGI character/ voice of Liam Neilson
Green Arrow: Josh Halloway or Robert Lincoln
Atom: Ted Danson
Hawkman: Dave Bautista
Black Canary: Karen Gillem
I would save Darkseid for later films.
A simple Despero or Starro adventure would be my pick. Maybe the Key?
