1)Whiplash? Really? Don't get me wrong, Rourke does a fine job, but is the bench for Iron Man's Rogues Gallery really that shallow?
2)Not sure I buy the whole "Iron Man as guarantor of world peace" deal. He's not exactly Doctor Manhattan, is he?
3)I think Stark as presented as a little too much of a jackass here. I found to take him especially seriously alot of the time.
4)As always, Garry Shandling wants to make me see less of him. If he'd've been on-screen for only two seconds, I'd've been thinking, "There's too much Shandling in this picture."
5)Johanssen does quite well as Agent Romanoff - I notice they never actually call her the "Black Widow" in this. I liekd the bit where she beats up an entire squad of guards while Happy is beating up one guy only.
6)Don Cheadle was good in this. I liked the War Machine armor.
7)Wow, that process server was alot hotter than the one I saw.

Overall:
Mostly pretty entertaining - I wasn't completely happy with the characterization of Stark, but even that wasn't too bad.

I haven't seen this movie since it came out, but I remember feeling the same way you do -- Stark is too much of a jackass for no good reason.

Shandling used to have a joke about having sex with his girlfriend. He'd ask "Was it good for you?", and she'd answer "I don't think that's good for anybody." I've felt that way about Shandling for a long time, now.
They could have easily called Whiplash "Crimson Dynamo" with the electric whips and red armor.

I agree with Stark not being as likeable in this one. I also thought they made Pepper more unlikable and more of a damsel in distress type than she was in the first.
I wasn't all that impressed with this sequel either. Felt more like a filler until The Avengers came out. I'm going to wait for Thor, Capt. America & the Avengers movies hit broadcast.
Thor was fun, but Captain America was my favorite superhero movie since Superman.
Iron Man 2 had some fun parts but was not on the same level as the first film.
I kind of want to have a marathon of Marvel films leading up to Avengers. Not sure I'll have enough time though.
