Disney+ To Start Exceeding PG Ratings
TVLine has announced that Disney+ will be adding all of the Marvel shows that were originated on Netflix.
I had expected the shows to go to Hulu because they are not family friendly, which up until now was the requirement for Disney+. To enable the Marvel shows (and possibly other future content) to be on Disney+ they will be requiring all subscribers to update a Parental Control setting. This will enable viewers to watch things beyond a TV-14 setting, or not.
Interestingly, the recent appearances of Matt Murdock and The Kingpin in MCU productions were, under the Netflix contract, the very first opportunity that Disney/Marvel had to use the characters.
