...Okay , this is about the MUTT & JEFF newspaper strip , originally created by Ham Fisher about 100 years ago , which still appears in re-runs , apparently drawn from various times in the Twentirth Century variously featuring the signature of Fisher or his assistant and later official replacement Al Smith...Or , no signature at all .
The strips selected appear to come from various points during the Twentieth...A joke making a reference to the initial United Nations-forming meeting here in San Francisco ( reulting in a plaza/memorial and a fountain , near to where I am now writing this ) is followed several days later by a joke ( as above ) whose springboard makes reference to the early Beatles era...and then , several days later , it's back to the UN !!!!!!!!!
The Sundays are run with the panels seperated from each other ( Although , as an older strip , it would be larger than basically any Sunday strip nowadays . ) , and don't include the topper , CICERO'S CAT , which won Smith NCS awards in the late 60s .
