And all the AEW wrestlers who wanted out to rejoin Triple H's WWE must be nervous now!

I Can't imagine Hunter sticking around without Stephanie, but we'll see.
I wouldn't be surprised if AEW isn't licking their chops.
I haven't watched WWE regularly in years, but I am very interested to see how all of this plays out.
RIP "Leaping" Lanny Poffo, a,k,a "The Genius, the World's Smartest Man", and younger brother of the late Randy "Macho Man" Savage.
I saw him wrestle years ago at the old Boston Garden. As I recall, he jobbed to Pete Doherty, "The Duke of Dorchester".
He was one of the firsts that I enjoyed his turn from face to heel. I loved his poms on the frisbees. I also learned, he worked fir the WWF (WWE) to support his family's regional wrestling bit.
Jerry Jarrett has died I mostly knew of him as the father of Jeff, but I gather he was an influential promoter back in the days of the territories and was instrumental in Jerry Lawler becoming "The King"..
Interesting fact - when Vince McMahon the Younger thought that he might go to jail over steroids, he brought the elder Jarrett in with the idea that he'd run the WWF while Vince was inside. In the end, Vince walked, so it never happened, but it's one of wrestling's great "What Ifs".
Thoughts on Various Professional Wrestlers #1: Andre the Giant
I never saw much of Andre in his prime - I didn't start watching wrestling until sometime around the run=up to Wrestlemania III (I remember wondering how they were going to book Hogan/Andre.) At the time, I didn't know that Andre's career was on its downside. I also didn't know then that guys with Andre's condition seldom live to be old men. It was more obvius a few years later when Andre was teaming with Haku as the Colossal Connection, and poor Andre could barely make it to the ring unaided. Andre ended up dying at age 46, in a Paris hotel room shortly after his father's death.
My feeling is that while it was Andre's size that made him a star, it also limited him to the role of a "Special Attraction", which still allowed him a good career. He never had a lengthy title reign anywhere, but he didn't really need a title to get over. In the end, Andre was the big nearly unbeatable monster that his opponent(s) had to find a way to beat.
I'm happy that Andre got cinematic fame as Fezzik in The Princess Bride.
I've seen matches with Andre from the 70s and was amazed to see how agile he was. But he rapidly slowed down and gained weight by the time of the WWF's national push.
WWE Sold To UFC's Parent Company Welll, well, well, isn't that interesting?
I first saw him as one of the New Zealand Sheepherders, and they were wild and violent, a far cry from the Bushwhackers.

I've heard about their Sheepherder days, but never saw them before they came North.

There are several of their matches with the Fabulous Ones and the Fantastics on YouTube, too.
