For Season 5 of Supergirl, Kara sports a new costume. From TV Line: "Supergirl Ditches Her Skirt for Pants in New Season 5 Costume — First Look"

Happy news, from TV Line: "Jeremy Jordan Returning to Supergirl in Season 5: 'So Happy to Come Back'"

I just read that not only will Tyler Hoechlin be back to play Superman for the Infinite Crisis crossover... but so will Brandon Routh!

It's true!

From Deadline: "Tyler Hoechlin & Brandon Routh to Suit Up As Superman for Arrowverse Crossover on The CW"

Supergirl never could resist stunt casting, but this is actually pretty sharp.

My fondest wish* has come true.

From Entertainment (We're Now a Monthly but We Still Call It) Weekly"Supergirl Star Mehcad Brooks Is Leaving in Season 5"

*My fondest wish is about Ron Troupe James (Not Jimmy) Olsen. I have nothing against Mechad Brooks, who is tall, handsome and for all I know, a really nice guy. But he was handed a horrible hand on Supergirl right from the start, by giving him a character with a storied name from the comics who wasn't that character at all. They tried to make him a love interest for Supergirl, but she and he didn't click, and then matched him with Lucy Lane, and that didn't click, and then it was one mess after another.

They also paired him with Lena Luthor, which didn't work. And made him The Guardian, which didn't work. And made him head of CatCo, where he wasn't convincing as either the boss of a huge company or a journalist. Honestly, it's like they said, "Let's put Jimmy Olsen in this, but make him different!" "Different how?" "Who cares, we'll figure it out when we get there!" "But why call him Jimmy Olsen if he isn't going to be Jimmy Olsen?" "That's the genius of my idea! We'll call him JAMES!" "Great idea, boss."

It gets better. From ComicBook.com: "'Crisis on Infinite Earths': Brandon Routh to Play Kingdom Come Superman"

It gets even better: From SyFy Wire: "ORIGINAL ROBIN BURT WARD TO APPEAR ON BATWOMAN’S ARROWVERSE CROSSOVER EPISODE"

Some actual Supergirl news, from Comicbook.com: "Supergirl: Meaghan Rath to Play a Female Brainiac 5"

From Entertainment (Used to be) Weekly"Jon Cryer to return as Lex Luthor for Arrowverse crossover"

Supergirl returns this Sunday, October 6, following the series debut of Batwoman.
