    • As it happens, I received the very same email eight hours ago.

Interestingly enough, in English - despite living in Brazil through the whole time I have been a Netflix subscriber.

  • Well, the deal is still incomplete and unapproved. That's why I said they were confident.

If HBO and Netflix both belong to Netflix, how do you see them as competing? They're going to bs receiving all the money.

  • Now Paramount has launched a hostile bid for WB, and Trump's making noises that he might not approve the Netflix deal. Someone wants a bribe. But regardless, nothing's a done deal yet.

  • I wonder which company is bribing Trump the most. I didn't used to think that way, and I hate that I do now.

    • Me neither. But it's hard to avoid it these days.

  • As we talk about DC Comics and HBO, the wrestling sites are in a panic what this will do to AEW. Though not owned by WB/Discovery, their main shows are on TBS and TNT. Will Netflix continue them as they are in a working relationship with WWE?

    • What I've heard is that TBS and TNT aren't going to be part of the deal.

    • I think for the most part the basic cable channels in general are staying with Discovery. The terms of the Paramount deal are probably different; it's my understanding that they particularly want CNN.
