Ok, how about this for an idea.  We take it in turns to post a favourite (British spelling) comic cover every day.  This went really well on the comic fan website that I used to frequent.  What we tried to do was find a theme or subject and follow that, until we all got bored with that theme.  I'd like to propose a theme of letters of the alphabet. So, for the remainder of October (only 5 days) and all of November, we post comic cover pictures associated with the letter "A".  Then in December, we post covers pertaining to the letter "B".  The association to the letter can be as tenuous as you want it to be. For example I could post a cover from "Adventure Comics" or "Amazing Spider Man".  However Spider Man covers can also be posted when we're on the letter "S".  Adventure Comic covers could also be posted when we're on the letter "L" if they depict the Legion of Super Heroes.  So, no real hard, fast rules - in fact the cleverer the interpretation of the letter, the better, as far as I'm concerned.

And it's not written in stone that we have to post a cover every day. There may be some days when no cover gets posted. There's nothing wrong with this, it just demonstrates that we all have lives to lead.

If everyone's in agreement I'd like to kick this off with one of my favourite Action Comic covers, from January 1967. Curt Swan really excelled himself here.

This dinosaur is a tall drink of water

I forgot. Has July's theme been decided? And what is it?

There was discussion on Page 1050:

Hey, I'm up for that. Prominent question marks/exclamation points for July. Surely we can decide amongst ourselves what constitutes "prominent" when we get to July.  Suits me down to the ground to try and pick our future topics as far into the future as possible. Gives me more time to find appropriate covers.

I'd favour combining the "Question/Exclamation Mark" idea with Jeff's suggestion (from Julius Schwartz's list) of "A Big Burning Question", to make sure we can find enough covers to last a month.  So we'd have some covers (like Philip's post of Plastic Man turning into a question mark), where the punctuation is part of the scene depicted, and some where there's an editorial question aimed at the reader "How Can This Scene Possibly Be Explained?  Buy The Comic To Find Out!"  I'd be happy to have that agreed on as the theme(s) for July.  Anyone else?

The general opinion seemed to be in agreement with that proposal.  So either a cover featuring a question mark (or other punctuation, such as an exclamation mark) as part of the scene depicted; or an editorial question aimed at the purchaser/reader.

The All-Star Squadron met people from their future and their past!

It looks like a T-Rex and a saber-tooth tiger had a baby.

And here we see how Mommy and Daddy met...

That Rip Hunter cover is from 1962.  Here's another dinosaur cover from the 1990 mini-series Time Masters, which reintroduced Rip and his team into the post-Crisis DC universe.  The character depicted is the new version of Bonnie Baxter's kid brother Corky.

Time Masters reminds me we haven't seen any Booster Gold yet (have we?).

Ok, seen it all now. Time travel has been accomplished in machines, in bubbles, and now - a chair!

I think this might be the first appearance of Dino-Boy in this thread, and it's not much of an appearance:

How about some tiny dinosaurs from the same title

More dinosaurs that would appear to be pretty small:

Not that "small" necessarily equates with "harmless":

The title "De Dinosaurus-Jagers" is, I think, Dutch for "The Dinosaur Hunters".  However, it looks very much as if the dinosaurs are the ones doing the hunting!

Starting with JD's Space Ghost cover, I wasn't alerted to any of these posts.

Based upon his clothing, this guy is definitely a time-traveler.

Another mecha-dinosaur!
