Best of luck, Tracy.

Just saw this post, Tracy. I hope you're feeling better.

I've learned from the ortho dr that I have osteoarthritis in both knees, but no tears or flaps in my meniscus. I don't need surgery, which is great, but did need a cortisone shot under the kneecap in my left knee. It hurt but not nearly as much as the intensely painful cortisone flare last night. Jeff has been taking very good care of me, letting me rest, and keeping my knee iced. <3

Thank you. I am feeling much better. I start PT tomorrow morning. I'm sure I will be complaining but I *know* how lucky I am. My sister and I both have a lot of arthritis in our knees and both have fallen recently. My sister ended up back in her full brace, locked in a straight leg position until her surgeon reviews her MRI. I hope I learn enough to keep my knees healthy longer.

Wishing the best for Tracy!

And, with winter upon the northern hemisphere today (literally, for some of us) and holidays approaching, I thought I send out Merrie Christmas, Happy New Year, and sundry other solstice greetings with these AI-generated images of ageing superheroes sitting at a round table celebrating the Yuletide, made just for the Captain Comics crew:

Where I am it's 72 degrees Fahrenheit (22C). Christmas Day here is predicted to be 81 degrees Fahrenheit (27C).

Wow!

Yeah, those AI generations...

A Hairy Potter, anyone?

I'm working with an artist on a panel for 2023 on the implications, practical, ethical, and prognosticative, of this technology.

Yeah, you can even use it to write stories, essays, and....

...A picture of someone putting the bomp in the bomp a-bomp a-bomp.

Who knows what the future will bring?

I may have found Captain America's original shield in an antiques shop.

I hope you bought it! (Tracy and I rarely find anything that cool.) Then again, we'll often take a picture of something noteworthy if it's hideously overpriced.

I didn't this time, but I might if it's there the next time I go. This time, I bought a book that is a sequel to a book written by a woman from our home town (more on these later) and an old camcorder that appears to use the same battery and cables as one I've had for years, so I'm going to see if I can get it working.
