  • His animated adaption of Grant Morrision's All-Star Superman is on sale today and I know he attended the premiere last week.  I really, really enjoyed his run on Fantastic Four a few years ago and was able to write to tell him so.  He sent a very nice thank you message back.

This is a real loss for superhero fans everywhere.

  • Wow.   I really liked his FF run too. In fact, I liked almost everything he wrote, with the exception of his JLA run (and that wasn't really his fault, IMO).

I wasn't going to buy All-Star Superman this week, but I think I will drop by the store today and get it, and watch it with J-Boy.

  • ...:-(
  • He was a talented writer that always seemed to be upstaged in one way or another.  His FF run was cut short, as well as his promising run on JLA.

  • Aww jeez.  I used to occasionally correspond with him on the DC forums, where he maintained a pretty heavy presence, and was happy to answer pretty much any question the fans asked of him.

A huge loss for the both the animation and comic book worlds.

  • I'm very sorry to see that. He was way too young. I really enjoyed his Milestone comics. He was an excellent writer who didn't get things to break his way and never got the attention he deserved.I'm going to miss his work.

  • A total shock.

I'm very saddened to hear of this loss. My condolences all around.

  • ...FWIW , at least he managed the " I'm a starr !!!!! " James Dean/( I can't think of any other metaphors for fame achieved posthumously now , 'kay ??????? )-ness of getting his death posted as a " Top News " post on Yahoo! News !..." 18 minutes ago " , when I followed the link , that's when Y! said they put it up...He made the headlines...
  • We lost a great talent far, far too soon.
  • ...He's now on the front page headlines at Yahoo! !!!!!!!!!!! Guess he had some friends there...

      Per Y!'s headline people , he was a " pioneering " writer.........
