  • I don't whether Marvel realises how much the title "Ultimate Comics: Ultimates" sounds like a self-parody (and not in a good way).
  • I agree. Also, with 5 or 6 Avengers titles in the "regular" Marvel universe, why do we need another? I took the recent reboot of the Ultimate line as a jumping-off opportunity.
  • I virtually stopped after Ultimates 2 (I did keep reading Ultimate Spider-Man - funny how Bendis does USM so well and then I can barely get through his other stuff, but that's the subject of another topic)
  • ...I bought it , oddly enough (I went LCS to-day .) , I was attracted by the bag , and I had liked...Ultimates I & started II but fell off ????? I forget . I had that paperback novel taking plce in-between I & II , (If it was.) , too...II was the one that opened with Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch being incestuous ? Anyway...I do list all my comics purchases , at my Facebook " comic book fan " identity , Walter Lilly in San Francisco ! Look at me...La , laaaaah la...
  • I read solely because of Hickman.  I love his work on FF and SHIELD.
  • If you had described what Hickman was going to do in SHIELD before he did it, I would have snorted in derision. And yet, it's good stuff. (The same with Brubaker bringing back Bucky.)
  • Agreed on both counts! I am having so much fun with both of those books. And I'm also loving Secret Warriors, which is almost complete (I'm reading the trades...)

My favorite title was Ultimate Comics New Ultimates vs. Ultimate Avengers.

    It was really ultimate.

  • Oh and anyone who digs Hickman's Marvel stuff should check out his Red Wing from Image. Two excellent issues have been released so far.

  • I bought this because of Hickman and have yet to read it, but did anyone else notice how thin it feels wrapped in that polybag? It's like the polybag accentuates the thinness.
