  • ...So how does this differ - if it does - from the MARVEL ADVENTURES line that has been publishing for the last several years ?

Or , FTM , the MARVEL AGE that was publishing before that !!!!!!!!!

Or , for that matter , before THAT one...........

  • ...So , in fact , this - in standard $2.99 comics , not other formats - includes recent-ish past reprints ?

Is this in connection to some very current/recent cartoon series ???????

  • Well, Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes is a current (and very good) series, and the characters & character designs on that cover seem to indicate that this will be the same "continuity."  Action Lad and I are enjoying the cartoon, so this might be a good book for him.

  • ...There seem to be different levels , as well as different " series " , of the Adventures titles .

I remember EARTH'S MIGHTIEST HEROES as two?? mini-series a few years back that sort of re-told much of the 60s adventures stories from to-day's viewpoint/interpretation , or am I thinking of another series and EMH was a specific Adventures ? Probably a " General "-marked one?? But not a specific Adventures title .

As I alluded to , in the quite early 00s , Marvel introduced the " Marvel Age " line - this one was very magna-looking and many-if-not-all of the stories were specific , with credits given remakes  of old Marvel stories .

Then about the time of the first Alba FF movie , and FF Adventures marked the launch of a different , not the Marvel Age one , " Marvel Adventures , for instance .

The magazine-sized comics of All-Ages stuff Marvel put out afte then , well.........

  • ...( It appears that the " don't try to add much additional content on when you Reply " curse is at work here , so...)...

These magacomics of kid's-level material would have reprinted stories marked as " Marvel Adventures " ones , as well as ones marked " Marvel Age " , with the noticeable differences I pointed out above . Some early " ishes " of these would also reprint mainstream MU SA stories - in NICE bright color and slick paper and large size , too ! - But , :-( , ALAS , those did not ;ast long .

Was all the material that appeared in these magazine-sized anthologies reprints of stories that had already made a 32-pg. appearance . I'm not sure .

  • I'd love to see Samnee and Co's sadly curtailed Thor series taken up by this line. I'd snap it up. Those were 8 FINE comics...

I'm sure I'm not the only one. A lot of folks must have been converted after the series ended.
  • And who are these mysterious Men of Action? And how did they get a credit ahead of Dan Slott and Ty Templeton? No mean feat!
  • Man of Action is the studio made up of former comic book writers responsible for cartoons such as Ben 10 and Generator Rex.  It's a recognizable name to kids and cartoon fans.

  • ...Do you mean that " not quite Adventures " Thor series that your fellow-( ex- ) countryman Roger Langridge wrote , Figs ?

  • ...In a way , this could turn into that line concerning Adventures series in general (which , from now on , I will use non-capitalized , to refer to " kids' version " lines/titles in general*) that I have meant to post here...And , yo , lo and behold , I declare , on my steed of Might & Goodness , that it HAS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Howeves , Figs , you mean " they found the TPB later and were converted then " ???????????
