This week in Distribution Survivor, it looks like Diamond has been thrown off the island -- again. This week it's Image doing the honors, according to ICv2.com:

Image goes exclusive with Lunar for direct market distribution

The tl;dr is that Image is dropping Diamond entirely for Lunar Distribution, which already has DC Comics and some lesser (mostly non-exclusive) publishers.

As if in response, Bleeding Cool published this:

Diamond Comic Distributors Is Suddenly Very Busy With News

The tl;dr here is Diamond announcing deals with Ablaze, Opus Comics and Massive (formerly Whatnot). Not really a replacement for Image, but you use what you have.

If you've been keeping up with Distribution Survivor, Diamond has already lost DC distribution and is already sharing Marvel, IDW and Dark Horse distribution with Penguin Random House, which likely has the lion's share.

So now Diamond has lost part or all of the top five comics publishers.
