OK, same rules as in the JLA thread . (I'm not doing threads for every team, although I'm mulling over X-Men and JSA line-ups.)
Anyway, here's "my" line-up
1)John Steed
2)Emma Peel
Har-har-har...
More seriously...
1)The Beast (Henry McCoy)
2)The Black Panther (T'Challa)
3)Captain America (Steve Rogers)
4)Hawkeye (Clint Barton)
5)Iron Man (Tony Stark)
6)Quicksilver (Pietro Maximoff)
7)The Scarlet Witch (Wanda Maximoff)
8)The She-Hulk (Jennifer Walters)
9)Thor (Tony Stark)
10)The Vision
11)The Wasp (Janet Van Dyne)
12)Tellowjacket (Henry Pym)
"I'm detecting a pattern, Captain..." Once again, mostly the team from when I started reading comics.
Replies
Captain America
Iron Man (pre-Civil War)
Thor
Wasp
[Henry Pym]
Hawkeye
Vision
Scarlet Witch (pre-Avengers Disassembled)
Beast
Wonder Man
Many others have served with distinction, but these would be the my top picks.
I never liked the limited roster so my lineup would be:
With Quicksilver, Hercules, Black Knight, Black Widow, Falcon and the rest as reserves.
Iron Man (Tony Stark)
Captain America (Steve Roger's)
Thor (Jane Foster)
The Falcon (Sam Wilson)
The Wasp (Janet Van Dyne)
Hawkeye (Clint Barton)
Hank Pym (whichever identity he's using this week)
Scarlet Witch (I think there's only been one)
Squirrel Girl
I think it's amusing that I have to specify which iteration of each character I want.
I excluded the following for various reasons, although I think they'd make good reserves:
Black Panther - I love T'Challa but he's a king and his people should come first.
The Hulk - Too inconsistent to be a regular team member
Quicksilver - Too much of a butthead
Beast - X-men will always come first. Same for any other character associated with another team.
We don't have to name lineups that actually appeared in the comics, do we?
That said:
and, rounding out the roster:
Any line-up you like, whether it ever existed or not.
