Michael Ansara, Actor Who Played Cochise and Kang, Dies at 91
Ansara was one of those character actors who seemed to be everywhere when I was a kid. I always enjoyed seeing him, and I loved that wonderful voice.

Ah, shame.
...The NY TIMES (On paper - I assume the Web version was the same .) illustrated his obits with shots of him as Kang , and from the other Indian character he played in a 50s-originated series , the lead character in LAW OF THE PLAINSMAN , " a Harvard-educated US Marshal " and I did see a reference made to it by the good Cmdr. , who presumably remembers seeing it as a kid-Com .
It only ran one season , and I tend to doubt that it was ever seen in an ysort of re-runs/syndication in America after that one season ended - Am I wrong ?
Apparently the show was a THE RIFLEMAN spinoff , with someone elsewhere describingm the LotP concept as appearing on two Rifleman episodes .
