Is a klansman who works every day to better the lot of all creeds and colours really a klansman?
No.
My point is that if there was a hero who had magic robes that made him look exactly like a Klansman, would people freak out? If he could, wouldn't the hero dye the sheets, pin down the point on the hood, and otherwise try to remove the negative look?
We've got a Sentinel, the most obvious symbol of mutant prejudice in the MU, working side by side with some mutants. There are robotics experts on the team. Wouldn't they try to make it look less sentinel-ish?
