Long time members here have had the dubious distinction of being able to watch from the day we got our dog Scoobert Antonio Doo Lane eleven years ago to the present.  They've seen him in the various costumes my wife Dolores got him every year, and heard about his every exploit.

For those that remember Scooby, I'm sad to say that he hung up his cape today.  We had to let him go after he developed kidney failure.  He went peacefully with Dolores and I holding him and reminding him of what a good boy he was.

He will be missed in ways he never imagined, and we're very lucky to have had him in our lives.

You chased away the last monster, Scoobs.  You can rest now.

  • Having met him personally, I can attest to the fact that he was, indeed, a very friendly dog.
  • Likewise. And he was cute, too.
  • Oh, no.

My condolences, Rich. What a cute guy... I never met him, and I'm gonna miss him, too.

  • Darn.  If there's any justice in the universe, Shanghalla has room for Honorary Members of the Legion of Super-Pets.
  • I just called Tracy and broke the news to her. We're both really upset to hear this news. I've got a big ol' lump in my throat.
  • Sorry to hear about this Rich. RIP, Scoobert.
  • Sorry for your loss. I know it's hard to do that even when you know it's the right thing to do.
  • So sorry to hear, Rich. I know you loved that dog.
