It seems that with every new writer, heroes get a new supporting cast. (If they get one at all, that is; too many heroes only know other heroes these days.)

Who are some of your favorites who haven't been seen in a while?

  • Two characters from 80s Flash comics I'm hoping to see again: Central City PD undercover detective Frank Curtis, and Patty Spivot, Barry's lab assistant. (It looks like Patty might be returning -- she rated a mention, at least, in the recent Flash Secret Files.)

Frank (not the best expression: a detail from a cover where he's under fire)

    :

    and Patty:

  • Some of the Avegers' civilian support team. Jarvis can't do it all alone!
  • Buth (from Ka-Zar, 1981 series); Jaxxon, from marvel's Star Wars. Bonus: both are green!
  • Spad McKraken (a private pilot) and The Great Kropotkin (a stage magician) from The Incedible Hulk.
  • Bernie Rosenthal..and I'd like her to be played in the Captain America film by Idina Menzel.

  • I suppose bringing back Jean de Wolff is out of the question ...

I think the Iron Man movies missed a bet by not having his secretary from the '80s, Mrs. Arbogast, around (played by Tyne Daly).
  • Harry Osborn's back from the dead. I don't see why Mephisto couldn't have wrangled Jean de Wolff, too. "It's magic!" after all.

Tyne Daly would be well cast as Mrs. Arbogast, but would you really want to trade Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts!?
  • I'm not a Spidey-reader, but I think I heard Mephisto only removed everyone's knowledge of the Parker/MJ marriage, and Harry's return was eventually explained some other way.
  • Yeah, yeah, yeah... that's just what Mephisto wants you to think! :)
  • Think about what?

Peter and MJ were married? I don't remember that.
