Thanks.

Don't feel like I'm missing too much in digital-trade-waiting.

New for me:

  • Archie 1941
  • the new Iceman mini
  • Journey Into Mystery: Birth of Krakoa which had me at "Sgt. Fury and the Howling Commandos"!
  • of course Mystery Science Theatre 3000

When I discovered MST3K, I was hooked yet no one, and I mean not one friend, family member or co-worker knew what I was talking about! Nice to have some Mysties brethren at last!

I think MS3K is brilliant. That said, when I excitedly picked this up on Wednesday, I thumbed through it and saw that it was unmistakably drawn by Todd Nauck.

From just looking at Nauck's art, I'm sure he's a great guy. His undeniably fresh, joyful, and Crest-white saccharine faces are so positive that he really ought to just start drawing a Brady Bunch ongoing.

Unfortunately, it's a bit too much for me. I know that he is a fan-favorite, but those constatnly-wide-open eyes just make me want to turn away.

Couldn't do it.
