The Wall Street Journal had an article on how some people can afford replica homes.

There are a number of White Houses and other such mansions and I thought about Avengers Mansion, the Baxter Building, Wayne Manner, would anyone like to live in replica's of those places?

  • I'd be down for a replica Wayne Manor -- especially if it came with an airplane hangar, a place to dock a boat along the underground river, a helipad, and a cave with a half-dozen Cray computers ...

  • We saw details of the Baxter Building back in the early 60s but the only time I saw anything more than the gym and place for the quinjets at Avengers Mansion or the Danger Room at Xavier's school was in the Official Guide to the Marvel Universe in 1983 when they made similar details of those places.

  • Avengers Annual #1 had a cutaway of Avengers Mansion. Supermegamonkey's review includes it.

  • I wold like to move to the desert and live in a replica of the Jupiter II.

  •   I always loved the cut-away views.  When I look at this one I think of how small Reed and Ben's rooms are.

  • Torch and Sue commute from suburbs. That didn't last long. Did the Code say Reed and Sue couldn't live in the same building until they were married?

Interesting the photo analysis lab is twice as big as the other labs.

  • I think that was the case and in any event in 1962 I think you still had separate beds even for married couples.  I'm wondering why they had their own tv studio.  It's amazing when you think of how a lot of that stuff may be obsolete now.

  • Sue did want to be an actress before she married Reed.

  • I found this when I was scanning FF 201, 1978. I'm curious as to who used the meditation room.

  • It's right above Ben's room. Perhaps it was meant to help him deal with being a pile of orange rocks?

What was Room X and why absolutely no admittance to anyone?
