  • WYATT KENNEDY & LUIGI FORMISANO’S NIGHTS RETURNS FROM THE GRAVE WITH A VEIN-POPPING NEW STORY ARC THIS JULY

31127195496?profile=RESIZE_192X31127195863?profile=RESIZE_192XPORTLAND, Ore. 04/02/2026 — Fan-favorite writer Wyatt Kennedy and rising star artist Luigi Formisano’s ongoing vampire series Nights will awaken to an all-new story arc this July from Image Comics. Nights #19 kicks off a blood-curdling new chapter in the story and picks up where the jaw-dropping events of #12 left off.

"Issue #19 is the issue that I've been the most excited to tell since the series began! Luigi and I have always believed that Nights is about change, and with issue #19, we're completing flipping the status quo to transition from a comedic slice of life adventure series into a true dark fantasy epic," said Kennedy. "There's going to be danger, death, heartbreak and all sorts of surprises that we're thrilled for readers to experience! We couldn't be more grateful for the opportunity Image has given us to tell this next chapter."

Formisano added: "I had way too much fun cranking the dark fantasy dial on this one! Wyatt and I leaned into an even more frenetic storytelling this time, packed with dramatic shadows, nasty creatures and vampires everywhere. With Vince finally awake and everything closing in, things are about to get very messy!"

In Nights #19, Vince, now a vampire, has finally awoken from a three month long coma and Gray is nowhere to be seen. Chimera's forces are closing in on the duo, determined to capture the monster responsible for the town's destruction but first they'll have to contend with the arrival of the legendary (and bloodthirsty) vampire conquistador, Eda!

"In my opinion, Wyatt and Luigi are one of comics’ best kept secrets, and Nights is one of the treasures that’s hidden in plain sight," said Eric Stephenson, Chief Creative Officer and Publisher at Image Comics. "Every issue of this delightfully unhinged series has been great, and I’m envious of anyone who may be stumbling upon it for the first time!"

Nights #19 will be available at comic book shops on Wednesday, July 1.

MONSTERS RUN THE WORLD IN DAVID DASTMALCHIAN AND LEAH KILPATRICK’S “KINGDOM OF EARTH”

Dastmalchian, Kilpatrick and artist Soo Lee explore a world like Planet of the Apes… but with MONSTERS!

31127768074?profile=RESIZE_400xMILWAUKIE, Ore., (March 17, 2026)— From the critically acclaimed writing duo of actor, writer, and producer David Dastmalchian (Count Crowley, Through), and actor, writer, and producer Leah Kilpatrick (Headless Horseman, DC Horror Presents) along with the Bram Stoker Award-winning artist Soo Lee (Carmilla, Minor Threats), Dark Horse Comics invites readers to journey into a world where humans are no longer the dominant species with Kingdom of Earth. The four-issue series features letterer Frank Cvetkovic (Cyberpunk 2077, Tramps of the Apocalypse) with cover art by Lee.

“It's tempting to abandon hope when the world is dominated by monsters... right?! But thanks to the incredible passion of my creative partners on this book," said Dastmalchian, “we created a terrifying world where a small flicker of hope burns amidst an apocalyptic landscape. I love mash-ups and this series is the ultimate mash-up. Every monster you've ever seen, read or studied battles for supremacy while a small movement of humans plot survival and rebellion.

“I love being able to draw monsters and creatures that go bump in the night,” said Lee. “It's so much more different than what I've been working on lately and thanks to my collaborators, I'm able to test myself by making this dark and terrible world beautiful in my own way. I hope everyone is captivated by the world we have developed in Kingdom of Earth.“

    In Kingdom of Earth:

    1. Two years ago, hordes of monsters rose from the earth and sea, devouring everything in sight. Much of mankind was massacred before the monsters realized they needed humans. In this new world, humans have two options: service or slaughter. When a young child named Frankie narrowly escapes their fate as livestock, they soon realize that their fight for survival has only just begun.

"I love monsters. Every culture has its own folklore, fables, and ghost stories that terrify people in their own unique way,” added Kilpatrick. “Kingdom of Earth gives us the chance to mine from all of it. I’ve never seen a story, aside from one of my favorites, Cabin in the Woods, where every monster imaginable collides in one world of horror, chaos, and ambition. In KOE, nothing is off-limits. The fun is getting to know these creatures and giving them personality, fears, and motives of their own."

Survive or be served on a silver platter in Kingdom of Earth #1 (of 4) when it arrives in comic shops on July 15, 2026, for $4.99. Visit Find your comics store (FYCS) for more details and stores near you.

JULIO ANTA AND DANIEL IRIZARRI BRING EL CHUPACABRA TO LIFE IN THE NEW TRUE WEIRD COMIC SERIES BEAST OF BORIKÉN

The second story in a series of TRUE WEIRD tales of cryptids from James Tynion IV and Tiny Onion!

31127768488?profile=RESIZE_400xMILWAUKIE, Ore. (March 19, 2026)—Dark Horse Comics and Tiny Onion present Beast of Borikén, a thrilling new tale in the True Weird series featuring el Chupacabra. Beast of Borikén is a five-issue miniseries written by Eisner Award-nominated author Julio Anta (Home, Frontera, This Land is Our Land: A Blue Beetle Story), illustrated by Daniel Irizarri (Xino, Cemetery Kids Don’t Die), colored by Patricio Delpeche (TexArcanum, Minor Arcana), and lettered by Lucas Gattoni (Dungeons & Dragons: Total Party Killers, Absolute Green Lantern). Issue #1 will be released in July 2026 and will feature cover art by Daniel Irizarri, Naomi Franq, and Max Fiumara.

    About Beast of Borikén:

In contemporary Puerto Rico, Loli Flores is a fierce activist fighting the overdevelopment of the island by outside investors. When a groundbreaking ceremony is violently interrupted by a supernatural force, Loli discovers that the stories of el Chupacabra are not just echoes from the past, but true tales of a brutal protector of generations extending back to the indigenous people of the island. As Loli uncovers the horrors firsthand, el Chupacabra follows a parallel path, leaving elemental destruction in his wake.

“Beast of Borikén is a tropical horror story inspired by all the creature features I grew up devouring,” said Anta. “It’s both an epic tale encompassing over 500 years of colonialism and resistance and a gory character drama starring Latin America’s most terrifying cryptid, the Chupacabra. I can’t wait for readers to sink their teeth into this book, beautifully illustrated by Daniel Irizarri… no one’s ever seen a Chupacabra this horrifyingly human!”

Irizarri added, “Beast of Borikén has been a home-coming to draw my island and its people as I've witnessed them in all their shapes and sizes, their joy and their rage. It was bold and refreshing of Tiny Onion to take a chance on a different direction for the next chapter of their True Weird series. Julio's story is a sharp portrayal of Puerto Rican resistance that made me feel seen, while also giving us the space to create a modern, snarling interpretation of the Chupacabra as well as our violent history and myths. I'm excited to bring my artistic sensibilities to this pulp-horror story of protester grit and ancient spirits of vengeance.”

Beast of Borikén #1 (of 5) arrives in comic shops on July 1, 2026. It is now available for preorder from your local comic shop for $4.99.

Praise for Julio Anta and Daniel Irizarri:

“By juxtaposing Mateo’s present treacherous situation with harrowing scenes from Guillermo’s and other migrants’ pasts, Anta pulls no punches, organically weaving together myriad contemporary border issues.”—Publisher’s Weekly, starred review for Frontera

“An extremely beautifully written book.” —Major Spoilers on Home by Julio Anta

“It can often be difficult to incorporate skin-crawling elements into a series, especially one where a creative team is attempting to take on a more energetic, ‘manga’ style with its art, but the team behind Cemetery Kids Don’t Die does so in spades.”—Comicbook.com

“Cemetery Kids Don’t Die stands out as a brilliant example of a comic book that combines story and art magnificently. Zac Thompson and Daniel Irizarri craft a world that is immersive, thrilling, and uniquely executed.”—Capes & Tights

In Grendel: Devil’s Crucible – Sedition:

The Hounds of Orion have two new weapons in their arsenal: The Grendel Prime himself, back from a five-hundred-year absence, and a clone of the fierce, long-dead Grendel warrior Christine Spar! Now it’s time to take the fight to the Necro-Lords, and the hordes of Anti-Grendel squads between Grendel Prime and his goal of total control.

"For years, readers have begged me to return to the character of Christine Spar but, due to the tightly choreographed nature of DEVIL'S LEGACY, her initial storyline, there just wasn't any room to fit in any more adventures,” confirmed Wagner. “But I finally hit on the perfect way to cast Christine...now known as X-tine...back into the role of Grendel and I'm happy to say that she's just as fierce and fiery as she ever was.  Maybe even more so!  You won't believe what fate has in store for her this time around."

MUTANTKIND'S BIGGEST NIGHT IS UPENDED BY SECRETS, SABOTAGE AND DEATH IN X-MEN: THE HELLFIRE MURDER!

This July, the X-Men’s Hellfire Gala returns in X-MEN: THE HELLFIRE MURDER #1, a one-shot by Jed MacKay, Gail Simone, Luciano Vecchio, Tony Daniel and more!

31127759700?profile=RESIZE_400xNew York, NY— March 31, 2026 — The X-Men’s Hellfire Gala, mutantkind’s biggest—and sometimes deadliest—celebration, is back for another drama-filled night of mystery, betrayal and Omega level fashion in X-MEN: THE HELLFIRE MURDER #1, hitting stands in July.

As is tradition, X-MEN: THE HELLFIRE MURDER #1 will be written and drawn by a spectacular lineup of current X-Men creators including Jed MacKay (X-Men), Gail Simone (Uncanny X-Men), Eve L. Ewing (X-Men United), Saladin Ahmed (Wolverine), Erica Schultz (Rogue), Tony Daniel (X-Men), Luciano Vecchio (Uncanny X-Men), Federica Mancin (Storm: Earth’s Mightiest Mutant) and more! Once more, the giant-sized one-shot serves as a capstone to the last year of X-Men storytelling with reunions and romance abound, and simultaneously sets the stage for what’s on the horizon with startling developments like the formation of an all-new Hellfire Club and the murder of a key mutant figure.

    HOMICIDE AT THE HELLFIRE GALA!

When an iconic mutant power player is murdered at an exclusive masquerade hosted by Sebastian Shaw, it falls to Wolverine and Jubilee to solve a locked-room mystery that has dire consequences for all mutantkind. Everyone is a suspect. And the party isn’t over yet...

The secrets won’t be the only thing stunning readers. As always, your favorite mutants will be decked out in unforgettable attire! Leading the design efforts will be Marvel’s Stormbreaker artist Luciano Vecchio, following his acclaimed work on last year’s Hellfire Gala issue, X-Men: Hellfire Vigil. A certified expert in mutant fashion, Vecchio outdid himself this year with dramatic and unique masquerade looks. Can you guess who’s behind each mask?

“Doing Hellfire Gala designs is always a pleasure,” Vecchio said. “This time around, it’s a masquerade, so the challenge was to come up with looks that divert from each character’s classic iconography to reflect their mask’s theme. The dress code is a callback to classic Hellfire Club attire, so there’s 18th-century fashion mixed with corsets and leather gear, but mixing up the gendering of those elements, resulting in something elegant and sexy.”

Check out Vecchio’s cover along with a variant cover by R.B. Silva and RSVP for X-MEN: THE HELLFIRE MURDER #1 at your local comic shop today! For more information, visit Marvel.com.

WORLD-RENOWNED ARTIST ALEXANDRA GRANT TEAMS UP WITH MATT KINDT AND NATACHA BUSTOS FOR HER DEBUT SCI-FI COMIC SERIES NANO

    Issue #1 arrives July 2026

31127760697?profile=RESIZE_400xMILWAUKIE, Ore. (March 23, 2026)—Dark Horse Comics presents Nano, a three-issue science-fiction, action-adventure comic series from world-renowned artist Alexandra Grant, NYT bestseller and award-winning author Matt Kindt, and critically acclaimed artist Natacha Bustos. The miniseries is written by Grant and Kindt (BRZRKR, Mind MGMT), illustrated by Bustos (Moon Girl, Miles Morales: Spider-Man), and lettered by Sophia Hilmes. Each issue will be 54 pages and will include cover art by Bustos.

    About Nano:

Sana is a badass operative of the underground organization The Order. She and her longtime comrade, Lukas, have been assigned to Nano, a mega-city run on prison labor and roiling from blackouts. While Lukas is tasked with infiltrating Nanocorp’s secretive research facility, Sana’s mission is something she’s never trained for: playing the doting wife of Lukas’s cover. In her guise as a middle-school PE teacher, she’s forced to cool her jets and teach eighth graders stretching while Lukas puts himself in danger. But when the signs are unmistakable and Lukas’s mission is clearly going sideways, Sana can no longer sit on the bench.

“Nano is a story that I've been daydreaming about for over twenty years—of two worlds clashing together—that of science and technology and that of magic and nature,” said Grant. “I can't thank Matt [Kindt] enough for helping me tell the story, and for Natacha [Bustos] and her vivid drawing and color work in bringing Sana and the whole of Nano to life. It feels like a particularly poignant time for Sana to join the world—a heroine whose name means healing in Spanish—to lead a group of women, girls, and animals, to question and kick ass against a complicated tech world that keeps all people, especially men, imprisoned and very, very small.”

Kindt added, “This started as literal fever dream that Alexandra had and was sharing with me. It was so vivid and intricate I was desperate to see it come to life. It has such big and wild ideas that it seemed perfectly suited to comics and I’m honored to be a part of it.”

Nano #1 (of 3) arrives in comic shops on July 29, 2026. It is now available for preorder from your local comic shop for $8.99.

    Cover A by Gabriel Hardman

“I’m thrilled to have this chance to contribute to the legacy of Dave Stevens’ The Rocketeer,” commented Hardman. “I was first exposed to both the character and Stevens’ almost impossibly lush artwork when I picked up THE ROCKETEER ADVENTURE MAGAZINE from Comico at a comic shop as a teenager. It played directly into my love of pulpy storytelling of the 1930s and 1940s so having the chance to tell a tale in that world feels like a perfect fit for me. We’re adding a dose of wartime espionage into the mix as Cliff and Betty bring their unique skills to a mission to uncover a Nazi superweapon while using Betty’s acting career as a cover. Though they may lack experience in the spy game, they’ll have help from a dashing MI6 agent who unluckily for Cliff takes an amorous interest in Betty. I couldn’t be more excited about collaborating with artist Dean Kotz on this series. I’ve admired his work for years and this project is both a perfect fit for his style and an ideal story for us to collaborate.”

“I'm so stoked to be working with Gabriel on THE ROCKETEER: INFILTRATOR!,” added Kotz. “Gabriel is a master of pulp storytelling, and he's cooked up an awesome spy thriller premise with so many fun things to draw. When Cliff's not wearing his rocket zipping around WWII bombers and fighter planes, we get to see him out of his element in the shadowy world of international espionage. Meanwhile, Betty's undercover on a glamorous movie set being romanced by a secret agent. This book hits all the perfect pulp notes.”

The fan-favorite franchise continues to reach new heights at IDW Publishing with the new series THE ROCKETEER: THE ISLAND (debut issue on sale now) receiving rave reviews as well. “It’s a great year for The Rocketeer! THE ISLAND saw him travel to a fantastical island in search of Amelia Earhart, based on a story by Rocketeer creator Dave Stevens. It infused everything about the character that fans fell in love with, while opening the door for a new generation,” stated Editor Nicolas Niño. “With INFILTRATOR!, Gabriel Hardman and Dean Kotz are telling a story that indulges the type of Rocketeer story a lot of readers love: one where he's out of his element. For a guy with a highly-combustible rocket strapped to his back, going incognito is a nightmare we'll love to pick up and read.”

40+ YEARS IN THE MAKING: TMNT #300 FEATURES FRANK MILLER’S FIRST-EVER NINJA TURTLES COVER

THE BIGGEST TMNT COMIC OF THE YEAR ARRIVES IN COMIC SHOPS THIS JULY

LOS ANGELES, CA (March 20, 2026) – More than 40 years ago, the brilliant duo of Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird co-created the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT). While it was Eastman and Laird’s imagination that brought the Heroes in a Half-Shell to life and turned them into a pop culture phenomenon, they cited two comic icons as inspiration for their incredible creation: Jack Kirby and Frank Miller. And now, more than four decades after that original spark of innovation, Miller has drawn a TMNT cover for the first-time ever to celebrate a massive milestone: TMNT #300!

"As a lifelong Turtles fan, it's awesome to be able to celebrate the landmark 300th issue of TMNT and we're going all-out to celebrate,” commented Ryan Balkam, IDW’s Director of Sales. “From a blind bag with an amazing artist lineup to Frank Miller's first-ever TMNT drawing and a never-before-seen piece by Kevin and Peter, TMNT #300 will be the ultimate reading and collecting experience for TMNT fans this year. The whole team here at IDW, along with our partners at Paramount, have put our passion for this property on full display. TMNT #300 is a book made by fans for fans new and old.”

In addition to the jaw-dropping covers, the special landmark comic will be a key issue for the future of IDW’s TMNT Universe. The epic storyline ‘The City That Never Dies’ kicks off in TMNT #300 with Eisner Award-winning writer Gene Luen Yang and blockbuster artist Freddie E. Williams II. Splinter and Tang Shen, the mother of the Turtles, have magically come back to life… but they aren’t the only ones who returned from the land of the dead! Plus: fans will be treated to a can’t-miss back-up story from co-creator Kevin Eastman, fan-favorite writer Tom Waltz and a roster of classic TMNT artists that celebrates the many eras of the Heroes in a Half-Shell as the time-traveler Renet explores timelines full of familiar faces.

TMNT #300 releases in comic shops July 22 and will feature stunning covers by Eastman & Laird, Miller, Williams II, J. Scott Campbell, Michael Dooney, Ito, Juan Ferreyra, Stan Sakai, Giuseppe Camuncoli, and Mateus Santolouco. Fans will have until June 1st to guarantee their copies by pre-ordering at comic shops.

NATHAN FILLION, HEATH CORSON, AND SOO LEE ANNOUNCE RELEASE DATE FOR THEIR MIDWESTERN NOIR COMIC SERIES, WITNESS POINT

31127766059?profile=RESIZE_192X31127766252?profile=RESIZE_192XMILWAUKIE, Ore. (March 20, 2026)—Dark Horse Comics presents Witness Point, a new four-issue comic series written by actor Nathan Fillion and screenwriter/comic author Heath Corson (From the World of Minor Threats: The Brood, Animal Kingdom) and illustrated by award-winning illustrator Soo Lee (Carmilla, Kingdom of Earth). Issue #1 of the bloody Midwestern noir will feature cover art by Lee and Shawn Martinbrough with Chris Sotomayor and will arrive in comic shops in July 2026.

    About Witness Point:

Welcome to Baraboo, Wisconsin, a friendly town full of cold beers and warm hearts—heck, it’s even the headquarters of the Ding-A-Ling Circus—a place where everyone gets along . .

At least, they did, until the naked, dismembered body of a US Marshal was found in the town square, revealing Baraboo’s dark secret: It’s the dumping ground for the Witness Protection Program. Turns out, for the past forty years, every criminal, con man, and killer who flipped on their pals has been relocated to “Witness Point.”

Now, the long-suffering local sheriff, Carter “Kite” Calhoon, and a contentious deputy marshal, Priya Khabrani, are forced together to solve the murder only days before the town’s beloved Harvest Festival. Which won’t be easy in the face of rising paranoia and tempers as everyone in Baraboo wonders just what kind of lowlife they’re living next to . . .

“Heath pulled me into his world with Witness Point, and I immediately knew this was a story that would lend itself to a comic series. I’m excited to be collaborating with the incredibly talented and celebrated artist Soo Lee, whose recent work on ThunderCats: Cheetara, The Wizard of Oz, and Disney Villians: Maleficient is nothing short of extraordinary,” praised Fillion. “Working with Soo, alongside my partners at Collision33 — Michelle Chapman and Josh Levy — and the team at Dark Horse Entertainment to bring this engaging story to life has been a thrill. I love this project and can’t wait for readers to experience it.”

“Nathan is an intuitive storyteller who imbues every medium he works in with his quick wit, iconic characters, and bottomless humanity,” said Corson. “I feel like we've managed to siphon a decent amount of it into Witness Point.”

Lee added, “Witness Point isn't your typical crime story that you think it is, so I wanted it to reflect that in the art as well. The setting is unusual with unusual suspects and characters, in all sense of the word so I wanted the colors and visuals to match that.”

Witness Point #1 (of 4) arrives in comic shops on July 8, 2026. It is now available for preorder from your local comic shop for $4.99.

  • Act 4 Publishing & Skybound Share First Look at George Pérez’s The New Teen Titans Artist’s Edition

The Oversized Edition featuring Art from the Groundbreaking DC Comic Book Series Arrives July 1

31127198492?profile=RESIZE_192X31127198496?profile=RESIZE_192XLOS ANGELES 03/31/2026 — Today Skybound in collaboration with Scott Dunbier’s Act 4 Publishing and DC, shared a first look at one of the most important DC comics series of all time in the award-winning Artist’s Edition format as George Pérez’s The New Teen Titans Artist’s Edition lands in comic shops on July 1, 2026.

Continuing a multi-book deal with DC, George Pérez’s The New Teen Titans Artist’s Edition gives a unique view into the series’ creation and features a large selection of the George Pérez’s original art, including beautiful covers and a curated selection of pages from The New Teen Titans #1-40. A heartfelt introduction by Pérez’s longtime collaborator and New Teen Titans co-creator, Marv Wolfman, headlines this stunning 12” x 17” hardcover edition.

A true turning point in comic book history, Marv Wolfman and George Pérez created a massive hit for DC when The New Teen Titans arrived on comic shop shelves in 1980. The team of Robin, Starfire, Wonder Girl, Raven, Kid Flash, Cyborg, and Beast Boy stole readers’ hearts, rivaling even the X-Men for preeminence in the comic market.

An Artist’s Edition is an art book disguised as a comic collection. Although appearing to be in black and white, all the art is scanned in color, enabling the reader to see the work as close to the original as possible – ink gradients, blue pencil, and all the unique nuances that make original art so special, are all clearly visible and printed at the same size as drawn. The only better way to experience these pages is by looking at the artist’s drawing board, as they’re drawing.

George Pérez’s The New Teen Titans Artist’s Edition is the latest groundbreaking new release from the Act 4 Publishing Skybound, and DC collaboration. Act 4’s 2026 titles include Mike Mignola's Hellboy in Hell Book 2 Artist’s Edition, The Amazing Spider-Man by Steve Ditko Artist’s Edition, Jason Pearson’s Body Bags Artist’s Edition, and Doctor Strange by Paul Smith Artist’s Edition.

George Pérez’s The New Teen Titans Artist’s Edition (ISBN 978-1-5343-3135-8 | SRP $150.00) will be available at comic book shops on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, and at booksellers on Tuesday, July 28, 2026.

CHRIS CLAREMONT REVEALS GAMBIT'S FINAL ADVENTURE BEFORE JOINING THE X-MEN IN GAMBIT: WANTED!

GAMBIT: WANTED, a five-issue retro limited series by co-creator Chris Claremont and artist Robert Gill, launches this July.

31127754463?profile=RESIZE_192X31127753901?profile=RESIZE_192XNew York, NY— March 27, 2026 — This July, discover the legend of Gambit’s journey from New Orleans thief to mutant super hero in GAMBIT: WANTED!

Visionary writer Chris Claremont returns with another revelatory retro series set during his incredible run of Uncanny X-Men, this time revisiting one of his most beloved—and mysterious—co-creations, GAMBIT. Teaming up with acclaimed artist Robert Gill (Dungeons of Doom, X-Force), Claremont will shed light on Gambit’s final adventure before he officially took his place among the X-Men. Back in New Orleans after meeting the team, Gambit isn’t ready to leave his old life and friends behind, but when an anti-mutant threat is unleashed across his city, the choice may be taken out of his hands! The deck is stacked with new enemies alongside fan-favorite villains in this surprising tale that adds new depth to Gambit’s fateful decision to join the X-Men!

    TARGET: REMY LEBEAU!

Get ready, mes amis, as Gambit, the mutant-thief-hero, travels back to his hometown for an explosive showdown! Set in the timeframe when Gambit returned Storm to what was left of the X-Men, discover how Gambit came to join the team for the first time – and the deadly trial that made it so! Someone’s got mutants in their crosshairs down in New Orleans… and when they hire Bullseye to target Gambit, hang on for the most kinetic showdown of the month!

GAMBIT: WANTED is the latest retro series that sees Chris Claremont fill in gaps and flesh out stories from his legendary, decades-long work on the X-Men franchise, following hit series like Wolverine and Kitty Pryde, X-Treme X-Men, and 2022’s Gambit series. On what motivated him to revisit the Ragin’ Cajun again, Claremont said, “I enjoy returning to Gambit because when I first created him, I never had much of a chance to build his backstory. I gave him the dichotomy of being both a hero and a thief, a conflict that creates a fertile patch for stories. GAMBIT: WANTED is set when he first meets the X-Men, and gives me a chance to explore why he decided to give up his unfettered life doing as he wished in New Orleans, becoming bound to this group of heroes, dramatically changing his life’s course.”

“Getting the chance to work on a Gambit book with Chris was a complete surprise, and it continues to be a surreal experience,” Gill said. “Chris's name is iconic and one that surrounded my early days of reading comics. I've always thought Gambit was one of the coolest and mysterious X-Men characters, and despite more than eight years drawing comics for Marvel, I've almost never drawn him… until now!”

Check out Leinil Francis Yu’s main cover along with special Wanted Poster style variant covers by Phil Noto. Plus, get a first look at interior artwork by Robert Gill. Preorder GAMBIT: WANTED #1 at your local comic shop today!

NEW QUEEN IN BLACK ONE-SHOTS REVEAL HOW HELA GOT THE THRONE AND HOW THOR COULD TURN THE TIDE...

This summer, Queen in Black writer Al Ewing delivers two pivotal tie-in one-shots, QUEEN IN BLACK: HELA #1, on sale in July with art by Carlos Magno, and QUEEN IN BLACK: THOR #1, on sale in August with art by Sergio Davila.

31127754899?profile=RESIZE_400xNew York, NY— April 2, 2026 — Hela and Knull’s cosmic collision unleashes HEL ON EARTH in QUEEN IN BLACK, a new crossover event from Venom writer Al Ewing and superstar artist Iban Coello. Kicking off in July, the event will be told across a five-issue main series as well key tie-ins like the recently announced QUEEN IN BLACK: DEFENDERS OF LIGHT AND DARK limited series and two one-shots from Ewing himself: QUEEN IN BLACK: HELA #1 and QUEEN IN BLACK: THOR #1.

Representing Asgard’s role in the event, the two one-shots will deliver pivotal chapters for the overall QUEEN IN BLACK saga and significantly impact Ewing’s current Thor run. With art by Carlos Magno, QUEEN IN BLACK: HELA #1 will reveal just how Hela rose to the throne, including her vicious takedown of Knull that led to the current Knull limited series. The one-shot takes place during the Immortal Thor era of Ewing’s run, while QUEEN IN BLACK: THOR #1, drawn by artist Sergio Davila, takes place in the present Mortal Thor era and sees Hela target the mysterious mortal Sigurd Jarlson, who may be the one hero worthy of ending her reign…

    THE QUEEN TAKES HER THRONE!

All the secrets of the Queen in Black – revealed in QUEEN IN BLACK: HELA! Why were Hela and Tyr in Midgard when the Rainbow Bridge fell? How did she cage Knull, God of the Void? And which Thor tried to stop her? Balder the Brave seeks the answers from Karnilla of the Norns... but will he live to tell anyone else?

Then in QUEEN IN BLACK: THOR, as Beta Ray Bill battles Hela at the edge of space, he considers his role as the heir of Thor's story… little dreaming that the story continues with Sigurd Jarlson or that the Death-Goddess has plans for the Mortal Thor. Somewhere in the city, a man with a hammer is about to face the ultimate test.

QUEEN IN BLACK: DEFENDERS OF LIGHT AND DARK ASSEMBLES EARTH’S GREATEST HOPE AGAINST HELA AND KNULL’S POWER

QUEEN IN BLACK: DEFENDERS OF LIGHT AND DARK, a three-issue Queen in Black tie-in series by Tom Waltz and Zé Carlos, arrives in July.

31127756069?profile=RESIZE_400xNew York, NY— March 31, 2026 — Hela and Knull wage war over the Marvel Universe this summer in QUEEN IN BLACK, a new crossover event from Al Ewing and Iban Coello. But when Hela’s army of symbiotes and Knull’s forces of light arrive to conquer Earth, they’ll be met by two new super hero teams specifically assembled for their destruction in QUEEN IN BLACK: DEFENDERS OF LIGHT AND DARK, a three-issue tie-in series by writer Tom Waltz, currently writing one of the event’s key lead-in chapters in Knull, and artist Zé Carlos (Amazing Spider-Man), who will also draw sequences in the main Queen in Black series.

Spinning directly out of QUEEN IN BLACK #1, QUEEN IN BLACK: DEFENDERS OF LIGHT AND DARK follows two daring and pivotal confrontations with the Queen in Black and God of the Void themselves as BETA RAY BILL leads PHOTON, SUNFIRE and DAGGER to cast a light against Hela’s sweeping darkness while IRON MAN, equipped in new Darkforce armor, leads DARKSTAR, AGENT ANTI-VENOM and CLOAK to snuff out Knull’s all-encompassing light.

    UNLEASH THE HEROES!

Beta Ray Bill is the only hero in Midgard who remembers Hela, the Goddess of Death...but does that mean he and his team can counter a Queen In Black? Meanwhile, Tony Stark’s all-new Black Metal Armor is the ultimate weapon against Knull, God of the Void...but does he have command of his own defense squad? It’s the mission that’ll decide the outcome of the entire conflict!

"Working with Al Ewing, Juanan Ramirez, and Erick Arciniega on the Knull mini-series was an absolute blast! And I'm very excited to rejoin Al and Co. for more Marvel Cosmic fun with QUEEN IN BLACK: DEFENDERS OF LIGHT AND DARK,” Waltz shared. “We (or, rather, Tony Stark) have assembled a rag-tag team of super heroes to serve as the first line of Earth's defense against the dual invasion threat of Knull and Lady Hela. These aren't your normal Defenders -- and teaming them up to help save the planet might seem unorthodox at first -- but maybe a little super hero chaos is just what's needed to stop Hela and Knull's own chaotic machinations. The only way to find out is to join uber-talented artist Zé Carlos, me, and the rest of the creative team for this cosmic tale of bravery, sacrifice, renewal, and redemption!"

Two of the most powerful evils in the galaxy are at war... with Venom, Mary Jane, Dylan Brock and the entire Marvel super hero pantheon caught right in the middle!

"The only threat bigger than one evil God is two of them fighting each other, with Earth caught right in the middle,” Ewing shared. “As an old-school ‘60s Marvel villain, Hela's a great match-up against the newer school of Knull, especially given the steps she's been taking to get onto his level. There can only be one winner - but whoever wins, it's the worst news possible for our heroes."

  • ‘THE HORROR OF GODZILLA’ UNLEASHES JAW-DROPPING TERROR

IDW RELEASES THE SCARIEST GODZILLA COMIC YET THIS SUMMER

31092789887?profile=RESIZE_400xLOS ANGELES, CA (February 16, 2026) – The shocking fear and astonishing devastation behind Godzilla’s first attack on humanity will be unleashed this summer.

Smashing into comics shops this July is the debut issue of the most spine-chilling kaiju comic book event you’ll ever experience: THE HORROR OF GODZILLA from Eisner-nominated co-writers Ethan S. Parker & Griffin Sheridan (Marvel Zombies: Red Band, GODZILLA: ESCAPE THE DEADZONE) and acclaimed horror artist Tristan Jones (EVENT HORIZON: DARK DESCENT, Aliens: Defiance). Set in 1954 Japan, witness the sheer terror behind Godzilla’s first horrifying onslaught on the human race and how the power behind its Kai-Sei energy has a frightening and transformative impact on humans exposed to the grim blasts.

“THE HORROR OF GODZILLA is for fans of Godzilla Minus One, Shin Godzilla, and Godzilla ‘54,” said editor Jake Williams. “It's a terrifying look at the Kai-Sei era's first Godzilla attack. It grabs the reader and places them on the ground in the middle of the most petrifying night in human history… the arrival of Godzilla. Through the power of Tristan Jones' visceral art style, this is the first Godzilla comic we've released that goes 100% in on horror. It very well might become the best Godzilla comic ever made… it's certainly the scariest.”

"Godzilla's been such a huge part of my life as far back as I can remember, and as someone that had Godzilla 1985 on near permanent loan from our local video store, and hounding my local bootlegger every day on the walk home from high school for the original Japanese cut, I'm genuinely hard-pressed to think of anything I've been this excited about in my career,” commented Jones. “As a storyteller that's become something of a fixture in the horror genre, it's a genuine honor and a thrill to work with Griffin and Ethan (and our incredible editor Jake) on a Godzilla story that leans so hard into my favourite visuals and even harder into things I always wished the films would. It's a huge departure from what I've been known for so far and everyone's given me incredible space to both try new things, and bring visuals to comics I'd never had a proper chance to before."

“The first year of the Kai-Sei Era found us in a world — a galaxy, even — steeped in kaiju, as we felt that was the best starting point for this universe,” stated Parker & Sheridan. “But now is the perfect moment to go back to the narrative bedrock, the genesis of our tale: humanity’s very first meeting with Godzilla. To not only be asked to tell this crucial chapter of the Kai-Sei saga, but also to make it as wild and horrific as possible… Oh, and Tristan Jones is going to draw it?! We’re beyond honored and cannot wait to share this one with readers.”

COMICS MEGASTARS ROBERT KIRKMAN, JOE CASEY, ANDY KUBERT, DAVID FINCH & ARTHUR ADAMS ANNOUNCE NEW SUPERHERO SERIES TERMINAL

The Most Violent and Unpredictable Comic of the Year from Skybound & Image Comics Debuts July 2026

31092784891?profile=RESIZE_400xLOS ANGELES 02/20/2026 — As announced today in Robert Kirkman’s keynote address at ComicsPro, Skybound and Image Comics are unleashing the all-new comic book series Terminal this summer. The blockbuster title brings together the truly all-star creative team of writers Robert Kirkman (Invincible, The Walking Dead) and Joe Casey (Uncanny X-Men, Wildcats), alongside artists Andy Kubert (X-Men, Batman), David Finch (Ultimate X-Men, Batman), and Arthur Adams (X-Men), colorist Dave McCaig (The Walking Dead Deluxe), and letterer Rus Wooton (TRANSFORMERS). Terminal also marks Robert Kirkman’s long-awaited return to the superhero genre for the first time since Invincible. The debut issue of the year’s must-read superhero event arrives in comic book shops on July 22, 2026.

"Listen, I’ve done my fair share of press release quotes but never for anything this cool,” said Robert Kirkman. “This will be the coolest comic on the market by the best creative team ever assembled. I dare you to find a book with a more stunning array of artistic talent. Go on, I’ll wait! You can’t! I’m co-creating another vast superhero universe and I’m getting to do it along with Joe Casey, Andy Kubert, David Finch and Arthur Adams! It’s going to be great!”

"I've been involved in some big launches before, but this is by far the biggest!” added Joe Casey. “This series has been many years in the making, and readers have no idea what they're in for. The level of talent involved is completely off the charts—and what we're doing is truly epic in both ambition and scale. Terminal is what great superhero comics are all about!"

There is a secret war being waged across the world by two violent forces with superhuman abilities who blur the lines between good and evil.

When Marilyn Howe's search for her missing sister Alessandra puts her in the center of this conflict, she'll learn that the power to save the world comes from unlocking your genetic code and giving up everything you thought you knew about yourself…if you survive the experience.

“I’ve had a very fortunate career with the big two, so for my first project outside that box since the late ‘80s, I couldn’t be more excited!” said Andy Kubert. “Being mentioned in the same breath as Kirkman, Casey, Finch and Adams along with colorist extraordinaire Dave McCaig is not only humbling but also gargantuan for me.  Building characters and environments with Robert and Joe was some of the most fun I’ve had in comics. Heck, just getting to know them is a blast! And that comes through on every page and every panel.  Honestly, I thought I had drawn pretty much everything until I got involved with Terminal!”

“Terminal is everything that made me want to draw comics in the first place,” said David Finch.  “Classic, high action superhero storytelling by the very best writers around, with designs and art by Andy Kubert and Arthur Adams. I can't believe I'm even saying that!  ANDY KUBERT AND ARTHUR ADAMS.  On one book!! As a fan, it's a shot of adrenalin, with fast paced action, high concept craziness, and over the top visuals. As an artist, it feels like coming home.”

“How much fun is this? This is my first interior work in ages, and it’s been amazing being able to participate in the creation of a whole new universe of characters,” added Arthur Adams. “Amazing to work on a series with proven creators like Robert Kirkman and Joe Casey—a series that I think is going to go in directions no one is expecting. And so humbling to work on a project alongside artists like Andy Kubert and David Finch and Dave McCaig. Terminal features Heroes and Monsters galore! My kind of comic book! I hope you guys enjoy reading this as much as I’ve enjoyed working on it!”

Terminal #1 will also feature a special blind bag program that allows fans a chance to get nearly all orderable covers available for the issue, intermixed at varying degrees of rarity. However, there are also three exclusive surprise items that can be found in these blind bags. It will give you a sneak peek into the world of Terminal, delivered in a distinctive Robert Kirkman style and unlike anything seen in a blind bag program before.

Perfect for fans of Invincible and classic eras of X-Men, this is the most violent and unpredictable superhero series of the year, and nothing will prepare you for what’s coming. With a murderers’ row of creators who have each redefined superhero comics in their own right and powerful storytelling on fullest display,Terminal is set to be one of the biggest comic launches of the year.

Terminal #1 (Lunar Codes Coming Soon | SRP: $4.99) will be available at comic book shops and digital platforms including Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, and Google Play on Wednesday, July 22, 2026.

AMERICAN MYTHOLOGY ANNOUNCES ALL-NEW FRIGHT NIGHT COMIC BOOK SERIES BASED ON THE CLASSIC HORROR FILM

First Issue of the New Mini-Series Ships in July – Ongoing Series Planned for Later This Year

31092791260?profile=RESIZE_400x31092791276?profile=RESIZE_192X2/16/26 Baltimore, Maryland — American Mythology Productions is thrilled to announce an all-new line of comic books  based on the beloved 1985 vampire classic, Fright Night, created and directed by Tom Holland. The first title in the series will be a prestige mini-series debuting this July, with an ongoing monthly series planned for later in the year.

This new launch serves as a direct follow-up to American Mythology’s hit five-issue series, Fright Night: Senior Year, which continued the story of Charley Brewster and expanded the film’s legacy for a new generation of fans. Fright Night: Senior Year is currently available as both a trade paperback and deluxe hardcover graphic novel and can be purchased at comic shops nationwide or directly through the American Mythology webstore at americanmythology.net/shop.

The upcoming mini-series is written by renowned horror author James Kuhoric, best known for his acclaimed work on Freddy Vs Jason Vs Ash and numerous cult horror properties, alongside writer G.O. Parsons, who penned the hit film Willy's Wonderland starring Nicolas Cage.

Set in the darkly seductive world of suburban vampires, the new series expands the universe of Fright Night, revisiting familiar faces while introducing terrifying new threats lurking just beyond the picket fences.

“For me, Fright Night has always been the perfect vampire movie,” said Kuhoric. “It captures the charm, danger, humor, and sensuality that define classic vampire lore while grounding it in real human fear. It’s been my favorite vampire film since the first time I saw it, and getting to expand that world in comics is truly a dream project.”

Parsons added, “Fright Night is one of those rare horror films that balances heart and horror flawlessly. The opportunity to step into that sandbox and explore new nightmares, while honoring what made the original so iconic, is incredibly exciting. Fans are in for something both nostalgic and boldly new.”

The July-launching mini-series will serve as the foundation for a larger ongoing Fright Night comic book universe, with American Mythology Productions planning additional story arcs and expansions later this year.
