  • Then the next writer is going to have a new K-meteorite storm come along, there will be the usual mad-scramble to get as much as each team can, with the inevitable stockpiles cropping up every so often. They won't get rid of a classic deus ex kryptonica so easilly.

  • I don't read the new 52 DC titles, but thinking about Ultra-Man gobbling up so much green K brings hundreds of fart jokes, toilet jokes and vomit jokes into my mind.

  • This Ultra-Man? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ultra-Man

    Or this Ultraman? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ultraman_(comics)

Or maybe you mean Ultra the Multi-alien? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ultra_the_Multi-Alien

    Or just plain Ultraa? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ultraa

Or some other character? You know, like this one: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ultraman

In truth, I know it's the Crime Syndicate Ultraman, but wow, that's a lot of Ultras for one universe! They need to do a teamup!

Yeah, I know it's the Crime Syndicate Ultraman, but geez, that's a lot of Ultras!

  • Of all of the counterparts UW is the most vulnerable. Once the kryptonite is gone so is his powers and if he is exposed to direct sunlight he's powers degrade quickly.

  • Looks like it's the Ultraman from Earth-3's Crime Syndicate.

  • At one point, they even had the Crime Syndicate from the Anti-Matter Universe, and the nigh-identical Crime Society from Earth-3...

  • This current incarnation is pretty good in an evil sort of way. The origin of Atom and Johnny Quick is just what you'd expect. Superwoman is a little like the Superwoman portrayed in the Justice League Crisis on Two Earth's animated movie.

  • It looked to me like Ultraman crushed the kryptonite and snorted it. Did I dream that?

  • No, you didn't. Crazy. But in line with the character that Geoff Johns has presented.

...and that's without mentioning Ultra Boy of the Legion, the Ultra-Humanite, or the members of the International Ultramarine Corps!
