So, is anyone else reading this big Sinister Six event by Dan Slott and company?  So far, so good.  Doc Ock is dying and offering to save the Earth from global warming, but Peter knows that there is a major dark side to the offer.  What's great about this story is that it really confirms Peter and Otto as big brains in the Marvel U...up there with Richards, Doom, McCoy, Banner, and Stark.  Slott figures, as an old time Spidey fan and good writer, that Peter would have finally figured out ways to fight the powers of his biggest foes.  I mean, how many times do you have to fight the Sandman or Mysterio before you use the tech and brains you've been given to be ready the next time?  This is the big "next time" and Peter is ready.  Added to the fun...guest stars The Avengers (taking a break from fighting X-Men), President Obama, and Al Gore.

  • I've been reading it. I'm enjoying it so far. I also love the Stefano Caselli artwork in this.

I like the Peter is thinking one-step ahead of Otto, but Otto expects it. And that Peter can outlast the Sinister Six longer than Earth's Mightiest Heroes.

  • I am SO behind on Amazing Spider-Man, and I really really need to get caught up. A few weeks ago, I was thinking about dropping it just because I haven't read it in so long. Then, of course, I start hearing all these great things about it on Comic Geek Speak and iFanboy. So now I just feel like I need to sit down and get caught up on it.

I think I have some free time this summer. ;-)

  • I'm tradewaiting everything these days, so I haven't even read Spider Island yet.  Ends of the Earth sounds pretty good too.
