Ask the Answer Man!

My snarky review: click.

Let's discuss the column. As a kid it always fascinated me. In fact, I loved the faux Daily Planets that they used to pimp various events and titles. It was a lot more fun that Stan's tiresome shilling over at Marvel.

  • Sounds like a nice idea, to print a fake Daily Planet.

Why couldn't marvel do the same with the Daily Bugle?"
    Oh wait, they have!

  • I've never seen a daily Bugle. Was this in the 1990s?

  • There weren't many of them put out.  As I recall, it was around the time of the Comic Shop News four page newspaper.

So it may have been in the 90s but might also have been into 2000- and beyond.  I don't recall.

Probably wasn't the same organ or the same function as the Daily Planet.

  • Now be fair, Mr. S, the Answer Man did more than quote prices!

  • It seemed like there was always an utterly pointless price question though. The Answer Man was a genius, but some of the readers... not so much.
