Bionic Man Annual 1, updating an old foe

One of my favorite episode villains too. In the old show a soviett probe sent to Venus accidentally lands in California and proceeds to tear up the landscape. It proved terribly strong and what I remember most of the episode was the way it coldly menacing. I mean it was like the Terminator, but not designed to kill. It just would have killed by indifference. I also liked the way that they had to destroy it because it struck me as a very good science way out instead of just a punching way out. In the updated version the Chinese have replaced the sovietts and the probe is just as deadly, but more sinister. Actually there is sinister all over the place here, from the CIA agent the general talking about bionics as a new arms race, the Chinese having their own bionic man (with an exo, rather than an indo skeletal structure) and the probe having an organic brain. I guess everyone has bionics in this comic. Doesn't make Steve any less unique I guess.
