Since the Captain Comics Round Table website first launched in the late '90s, it has been blessed with a number of fine contributors. Some are still with us and some aren't, but their pearls of wisdom remain. To read a given contributor's work, hover your mouse over the "Columnists" tab and take your pick.
Alternatively, here's a list of the columnists, with links. Note when you visit a given columnist's category, the posts show newest to oldest -- and "newest" includes the latest responses. So they are not in strictly reverse chronological order. Here's that list:
CAPTAIN COMICS is Andrew Smith, the founder of this site, which launched from a syndicated newspaper column that Smith wrote for 30 years (1992-2022) at Scripps-Howard News Service, Tribune Content Agency and McClatchey. Smith also wrote a column for the Comics Buyer's Guide for a number of years.
DECK LOG is penned by Commander Adam Benson USN (Ret.). His field of expertise is the Silver Age, and his column includes Silver Age Challenges, Forgotten Gems and unforgettable holiday columns.
THE BARON'S TIMELINES is by Bob "Baron Bizarre" Chisholm, who makes enormous lists that no one else dares and creates timelines that include characters who would otherwise never be mentioned in the same breath.
MR. SILVER AGE is none other than Craig Shutt, a Comics Buyer's Guide stalwart and author of Baby Boomer Comics.
FLUIT NOTES features Chris Fluit, both a lifelong comics fan and a man of the cloth. His interests vary, but you'll find a lot of information about '90s and '00s comics in his columns.
INKLINGS is the work of Australian Feargal Gallagher, who brings a literary eye to various comics, including Micronauts.
