RIP Dan Adkins

The artist Dan Adkins died recently. This post at The Beat has links to David Spurlock's announcement of his death and an appreciation by P. Craig Russell. An appreciation by Jerry Bingham, who he helped when he was starting out, can be read here. Mark Evanier's obituary is here. An interview conducted with Adkins by Roy Thomas can be found here. A Comic Book Artist interview with Adkins about his time with Wally Wood is here. Adkins inked Barry Windsor-Smith's early work very attractively; in this interview Paul Gulacy described him as having made Smith look like Smith. Rest in Peace.
