DC Entertainment and Kia Motors America Unveil Tricked Out Batman-Inspired Kia Optima Car
This evening DC Entertainment and Kia Motors America unveiled the first in a series of eight specially-created custom cars inspired by DC Comics’ most iconic super heroes – The Justice League. Tonight’s reveal of the tricked out Batman-inspired Kia Optima SXL gathered a huge crowd at the Time Warner Center Shops at Columbus Circle. Kia Motors America and DC Entertainment greeted the crowd with a quick explanation of the two companies’ partnership, which benefits the WE CAN BE HEROES giving campaign.
DC Entertainment co-publisher and legendary comic artist Jim Lee was on hand to speak to the overall creative design and concept for the car. Lee provided creative direction for all eight vehicles and each car highlights the collaborative process between Lee and the custom shops bringing his designs to life.
The Batman inspired vehicle features a striking custom paint job that is highlighted by the iconic Bat logo on the sides of the vehicle. The custom, hand-crafted grill took over 40 hours to create and the interior features sleek black leather and suede with yellow accents. The Batman-inspired car will be on display in the South wing of the Time Warner Center through Sunday, October 14.
