DCU Legacies #6--My Thoughts

Page 3, panel 1: That's Supergirl again. As I feared, they did not explain her prescence, now they do not explain her absence. Her sacrifice is not mentioned, the most public of Crisis' heroic deaths. Was she drawn in as a homage to her original significance? Here she is a mere cipher, an Easter Egg for fanboys. That's sad, somehow.

Page 3, panel 2: Hawkman is shown. It could be the original JSA member but during the Crisis, he wore his yellow cowl and was severely burned by Doctor Phosphorus before its conclusion. Of course, he did show up, hale and hearty, in The Last Days of the Justice Society Special.

Page 4: the Guardian (really his Jimmy Olsen clone) returns. Actually he had virtually vanished after Jack Kirby was evicted from his Fourth World but it does set-up his Post-Crisis prominence.

Page 8: Jimmy's accident and paralysis and Paul's guilt has to be leading to something!

Page 9: The heroes rush off, including Wonder Woman. Originally this gets her devolved back to clay but now she must survive intact.

Page 11: The New Justice League (of Detroit). I agree with Jeff. The time change is odd. The Crisis, if anything, showed the inadequacy of this version of the JLA and how they were ill-prepared to shoulder the League's legacy.

Page 12-15: Legends in a nutshell. Wasn't Cosmic Boy there at the beginning. Good job keeping Changeling/Beast Boy in the mix.

Man, did they make Robin II (Jason Todd, folks) look like a kid in a Halloween costume!

Last Page: Just when things are looking up...Back to The Killer Joke!

The Legion back-up was cute. I always wondered in they kept track of what particular day they were summoning Superboy from.

Superboy, arriving from the future, "Man, those Fatal Five were tough! I'm aching all over! Where did Validus get so strong?"

Suddenly a Legion summons: "Help Superboy! Mordru is attacking us!"

Superboy, extremely irate, " Oh C'mon! I just got home!"

"Rendevous with Chemical King and Timber Wolf!"

"Wait, who???"
