    The earlier post goes into great detail about reprint collections whose publishers pay everyone EXCEPT the actual creators, even if they're still alive.

    Great link.  I'll try to come back for the next bit.  Love the idea of a novel-length testement from Ditko, and I'd love to read it someday.  Love what I've already read of Bissette's stuff on the industry, but he kinda keeps restating there that Ditko's pieces should be read and attested to more.  I already have quite a few of those B&W Ditko collections from the 90s onwards.
