Has anyone been reading this? I read issues 1 and 2 yesterday. They were funny. I had worried that they wouldn't be, because Christopher Priest, the original writer, is off the title. But James Asmus (who writes Gambit, but I don't read that...) does pull off some comedic chops here, and does so quite nicely.

The biggest star here, in my eyes, is Tom Fowler, the artist. I've been a fan of his since I saw him in a Mad Magazine I happened to pick up on a whim years ago. Since then, he's drawn Green Arrow (I felt he was ill-suited to that book, personally), Venom, and Incredible Hulk Season One. I love his cartoony style which can still carry serious tones. His style is pretty reined in here, but the personality of his characters are not.

I actually found myself liking and caring about these characters as people, so I think I will be buying up the next issue coming out this week.
