Panels for Primates is a charity anthology of primate comics that has been updating every week with new material at ACT-I-VATE (http://act-i-vate.com) since October of last year, all to benefit the Primate Rescue Center in Nicholasville, KY. Like other content at ACT-I-VATE, the ever-growing Panels for Primates archive can be viewed absolutely free. The big difference is that Panels for Primates readers are encouraged to swing over to http://www.primaterescue.org/ and make a donation. Next Wednesday (May 11), I'll be posting a fun four-pager written by comics legend Roger Stern and drawn by Canadian animator Caleb Hystad. It's called "All Monkeys are Primates, But Not All Primates are Monkeys!"
And there are plenty of other great pieces up there already. Fred Van Lente, Colleen Coover, Stuart Moore, Rick Geary, and David "Mouse Guard" Petersen are among the contributors, with work by Mike Carey, Carla Speed McNeil, and Dean Haspiel on tap for the weeks ahead.
The online run of Panels for Primates will be ending on June 1st. (With a bang, I might add.)
