    Very good point. Marsden set himself a similar task, using comics to get young girls to lose their identification with the baggage that society was piling on them.

    I hazarded a guess on this board a few weeks ago that Wonder Woman's new costume and the JLA/99 team-up happening at the same time may not have been coincidental.

    This is a great talk. The philosophy and instory history behind the 99 is great. Very well thought out. (Never thought of Spider-man being gifted from above before!) Sadly, the cartoon looked like the usual pretty dumb saturday morning fare. I guess its for the kids! Maybe the comics are a little better.

    I had thought the 99 had grown up slowly in the Middle East, but it seems this guy was able to go from their conception to a global brand almost overnight. A team-up with the JLA is a big deal.
