It was my sister and her now-fiance's last night here in the States...so we all went out to see Wicked. I have the soundtrack, so I kinda knew what to expect, but WOW that was fantastic. The woman playing Glinda pretty much channeled Chenoweth, but in a good way. The audience was really into it...the show has an almost Rocky Horror following and you could tell. I haven't read the book...so I don't know if this is a part of it...but I was proud to have seen the big twists before they came...not that they were that hard to see coming...
Theater people...some of the cast were listed as "stand-by" which was different than "understudy". What is a stand-by?
