Comic books, like movies, require a certain about of suspension of disbelief.
However, there are some things that just are implausible, beyond belief.
This thread is intended to be a repository of some of the biggest leaps of imagination that we've been required to take.
Please attach scans of the offending panels, pages, or stories that qualify for this hall of fame.
I'll start by showing a panel that has registered in my subconscious mind ever since I first gaized at it more than 50 years ago... reading in a pile of Sunday comic sections from the Chicago Times (or similar newspaper.)

Just off the top of my head, here are a few of the things that could go wrong...
Someone steps on the book of matches.
A crook lights a cigarette
Batman liights a match and the whole book burns up.
Batman uses the charred match to write the name on the floor
Batman is unmasked instead of tied up
Batman is unable to reach the match book, tied too tight, or gets the wrong letters.
or the most obvious one of all...it's a used, worn matchbook...
