I always check the convention schedule, to see if there's an Anime showing or film I'd like. 95% of the time, there isn't, and the last time I watched a film there, the audience was too noisy and I had a bad seat. Most of the time all I do is a few interesting panels and shopping.
I-CON 29 was good. I spent most of it working my required 8 hours of volunteering just doing door-monitor duty (checking passes, holding the door for people or equipment, providing info, ect.), but I still had a good time. Met Tony Todd (Aka CandyMan) & went to the Voltaire concert (www.voltaire.net), got re-aquainted with some long-missed freinds, found the 3 SR4 books I was looking for, & scored the remaining Blackest Night promo rings I needed. I now have a full set (except for the White ring coming out soon). I had a ride there & back with my niece & her BF, so I saved $$ not taking the train. All in all, a good weekend. Thanks for asking.
