This is one of those nifty stories that starts relatively small and just grows and grows. The Punisher wakes up in one of his safehouses (an empty warehouse) to find some garbage men have been murdered in their truck. This leads him into finding out that a mob war is beginning to break out between the Rosetti and Mecozzi crime family.

Eventually, his investigation takes him to a large landfill that is storing toxic waste, bodies that have been dumped, and radioactive materials. While staking it out he stumbles on to a scheme in which the mob is selling plutonium to some Arabs, so that they can build a bomb. A gigantic firefight takes on the premises. Frank decides next on his list is to figure out how the mob is getting such advanced weaponry.

During the fighting the Arabs leave with their plutonium. They figure the fight isn't their problem, and they got what they came there for. When Castle just about has everything wrapped up at the landfill, and is about to chase the terrorists the Rosettis show up guns blazing.

To be continued. Just not by me. I don't have the next issue.

Like I said above this is a good tale that really builds upon itself in one issue. I had no idea Microchip has (had?) a son, Microchip Jr, who is an expert computer hacker.

I really liked the art as well. Kevin Nowlan's inks really give the comic a nice darkness that this story really needs. Especially since it mostly takes place at night. A note on the cover. As per usual this scene never appears in the comics, not only that, at one point Frank comments on how he should have brought a gas mask.
