Ok, how about this for an idea. We take it in turns to post a favourite (British spelling) comic cover every day. This went really well on the comic fan website that I used to frequent. What we tried to do was find a theme or subject and follow that, until we all got bored with that theme. I'd like to propose a theme of letters of the alphabet. So, for the remainder of October (only 5 days) and all of November, we post comic cover pictures associated with the letter "A". Then in December, we post covers pertaining to the letter "B". The association to the letter can be as tenuous as you want it to be. For example I could post a cover from "Adventure Comics" or "Amazing Spider Man". However Spider Man covers can also be posted when we're on the letter "S". Adventure Comic covers could also be posted when we're on the letter "L" if they depict the Legion of Super Heroes. So, no real hard, fast rules - in fact the cleverer the interpretation of the letter, the better, as far as I'm concerned.
And it's not written in stone that we have to post a cover every day. There may be some days when no cover gets posted. There's nothing wrong with this, it just demonstrates that we all have lives to lead.
If everyone's in agreement I'd like to kick this off with one of my favourite Action Comic covers, from January 1967. Curt Swan really excelled himself here.

Followed by Brainiac...
Finally Brainiac 5. Was Querl Dox really a real life descendent of the first Brainiac? And if so, how's that possible, since the first Brainiac was an android?
Brainiac 5 was the descendent of the youth given to act as the android Brainiac's son to help perfect his disguise by the Computer Tyrants of Colu. He ran away, gave himself increased intelligence and led the rebellion as Brainiac 2.
Thanks Philip. I knew you clever guys would save me the trouble of going to look it up on Wikipedia.
Could I just remind you of Peter Wrexham's statement on the last day of March.
"A couple of ideas have occurred to me (for May) that I think might have possibilities:
Personally, I love the idea of Wanted posters for the whole month of May, but, I guess, if we run short, we could "fill in" (so to speak) with empty uniforms. Views from the rest of the team?
I've been assuming that the Wanted theme would run for the whole of May, and researching covers accordingly (as my Muppet Robin Hood/Kermit cover above may suggest!). I think it should be possible to find enough examples to fill the month, although there obviously won't be nearly as many as we've seen with green skins in April.
However, it seems a good idea to have a fallback position if the supply runs out before the month does. Perhaps we could expand the remit to include mugshots, or Missing Person posters, or something like that? That may be better than switching to a completely different theme such as empty uniforms.
Besides, I think that empty uniforms could easily sustain a month on its own. It would be a pity to run it for just a few days. Also, I haven't been looking for covers with this theme, so I haven't got any lined up yet! However, I'll be happy to go with the majority decision if other contributors disagree, or with Steve W's casting vote, as originator of the game.
I think it's a good idea to save empty uniforms for a month of their own. I'm prepared for May with wanted posters (one of which was the Kermit one). Here's my last green person.
Another giant green hand
And a Fantastic Four cover I came across that had a serious printing error. A green skinned FF.
May 2019 - Wanted posters.
Let’s start things off with

Richard/Peter, I'm quite happy to go along with your suggestions that we leave "empty uniforms" for another month (June maybe?) and that we concentrate on Wanted Posters (or missing Persons or similar) for May. Lets go for it!
This one's a Wanted Poster, in that Ma & Pa Kent 'want' their stepson to come home.
