In Batman #137 (1960), the Dynamic Duo fought a Western-themed villain who called himself THE BRAND or The Bandit of 1000 Brands. He even tried to steal cattle. I read about him in The Encyclopedia of Comic Book Heroes: Volume Two Batman.
I always felt that he was the inspiration for the Batman TV villain, SHAME, played by Cliff Robertson, the future Uncle Ben Parker.
Of course, the name was also a parody of the popular 1953 film Shane, starring Alan Ladd, who had his own DC title briefly.
So, it may be another clever mix of an old comic and a hit film!
In my zeal to learn more about AI video generation, I have created a trailer for the sort of movie I might have made when I was nine. There's some account here, or you could just enjoy the trailer for the best Superhero/Alien Invasion/Kaiju/Kung-Fu/Blaxploitation/Giant Robo movie never made.
Thanks to Jeff of Earth-J, one of a handful of people who advised me on earlier drafts. And heed, please the words of Captain Protean:

Here's something else I noticed recently...
J'onn J'onzz first appeared in 1955, but the first "Martian Manhunter" appeared two years earlier:
I'm not saying there is a link between Anubis and King Tut, but Egyptian themed characters were not new to Batman
Maxie Zeus always struck me as a King Tut stand-in
To me as well. He seemed to operate at the same level of self-inflicted delusion about his identity as Tut.
