This is, I guess, the first non-continuity imlpant "Catwoman" story since her "revillainization" in Detective Comics #569-570. It opens with Thomas "Catman" Blake's Siberian Tiger Rasputin escaping and killing a…"
Part One: "Ode to a Penguin
We are now entering a phase in the "Batman Villains" discussions in which I didn't necessarily read every comic a bought, a phase which led to my precept "Don't buy what you…"
"Infant in Arms" by Nathan Edmondson and Yildiray Cinar - Superman saves an infant alien princess from assassination. This story seems to be setting up something, but I have no idea whether or not it was ever followed…"
"BATMAN ANNUAL #13 (1989) - "Faces"
I read this story only once before, when it was new, and I didn't even remember that Two Face was in it. what I remember most about it was that it was the first time I had ever seen Robin with his costume covering…"
"Back in April 2024, when I watched the first of them, I posted: "Some time ago, someone on this board (I don't recall who) recommended three movies: Frankenstein Meets the Space Monster, Women of the Prehistoric Panet and The Wizard of Mars," so…"
"I'm caught up to 1223 now, too. I keep trying to figure out why they're telling this story. The only thing I can think of is that they're trying to return the show to its roots, a gothic soap opera with supernatural overtones, and failing miserably.…"
"Some time ago, someone on this board (I think it was Richard Willis) recommended (well, "mentioned") three movies. Tonight I found them jotted down on a piece of paper.
Frankenstein Meets the Space Monster
Women of the Prehistoric Planet
The Wizard…"
This is an EP (five songs). The musicianship is impeccable (as expected), but Steven Tyley shares the vocals with the lead singer of Yungblud, so it doesn't necessarily sound like "Aerosmith" per se. (This is…"
"BELL, BOOK & CANDLE (1958):
Another Christmas movie. A man (Jimmy Stewart) falls in love with a witch (Kim Novak), but is it his own idea, or is he under a spell? The witch's aunt (Elsa Lanchester) is also a witch, and her brother (Jack Lemmon) is a…"
"THE CURSE OF THE CAT PEOPLE (1944):
I didn't know much about this movie prior to watching it apart from an oblique reference to it in Neil Simon's The Odd Couple. It is about a six year old girl, obviously on the autistic spectrum, whose family,…"
Jeff, I want to thank you and Tracy for the well-wishes you have given me, just to let you know how touching and thoughtful I think it was. I'm happy to tell you that I'm doing much better and I feel about 99% back to normal. Of course, it's easy to recuperate when all I have to think about is getting better while Adam takes every other burden upon himself. Here on Earth-B he has the reputation of being rather a cranky old cuss, but I know he's as sweet as a puppy! Tell him I said that and I'll blame it on the stroke.
Thank you again, Jeff, for thinking of me and do, please, pass my thanks and best wishes on to Tracy.
Happy new year!
Cheryl
PS: Re: the puppy comment--yes, I know this will be publicly on your wall, but I'm betting Himself never pays attention to these. Also, there may be a better way to message you but I don't see anything else.
