I don’t usually buy Archie comics, but every once in a while an unusual story or direction will attract my attention. In this case, it’s the trend of “sympathetic vampires” coming to Riverdale. As a matter of fact, both a vampire and a werewolf transfer into Riverdale High School in this homage to Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight series. The story was about what I expected (it is titled “Twilite,” after all), but I was very impressed by the art, particularly the layouts. I can’t say reading it convinced me to try an Archie comic book any more often than once every couple of years, but it is a welcome addition to my inch-long Archie section.

I've mentioned elsewhere on this board that I read and was impressed by the story. It's not a straight-up parody but takes some of the basic elements and becomes a different, independent story.
