ARCHIE COMICS TO LAUNCH DOUBLE DOUBLE DIGESTS
Publisher continues to innovate its comic line with the new, 320-page Double Double Digests.
Archie Comics, the leading mass-market comic book publisher in the world and home to such notable pop culture creations as Archie, Jughead, Betty & Veronica, Josie & The Pussycats, and Sabrina the Teenage Witch, announced today that it will be expanding on its ever-popular line of Double Digests with the new Double Double Digests, beginning in 2013.
Archie’s series of Digests have been a staple of mass-market literature for decades and continue to line newsstands and beyond, boasting great value for the amount of content. With the introduction of the Double Double Digest, which will be twice the size of the current Double Digests, customers can look forward to even more classic Archie stories packed into one title.
“Archie remains the leader in bringing value to the marketplace,” said Archie Comics Co-CEO Jon Goldwater. “We hope our fans enjoy the Double Double Digests which beat any comic book deal on the market today.”
The new digests will feature 320 full-color pages as well as UV- coated cover, all retailing for the low price of $5.99 US. Each Double Digest will get the Double Double treatment once per year and will rotate from one digest to the next to offer a total of 1500 extra digest pages annually.
Archie’s line of Double Digests include Archie, Betty & Veronica, Jughead, B&V Friends, Archie & Friends, and World of Archie, with the Double Doubles beginning in March with the Archie Double Double Digest. This allows fans of every title an opportunity to read even more stories from their favorite Riverdale pals and gals for the best price.

...Okay , I found this , which I missed the first time around .
Recently , after your Preview for the latest ARCHIE DOUBLE DIGEST (#236) , I had , first , bought the currently-on-the-stands #235 at a supermarket near me - The first Archie digest I'd seen in a non-comics shop retail outlet for a while - And then , only a couple of days later , saw #236 there too and bought it as well .
Someone else had commented about pat the Brat regarding #236 , I didn't see the cover blurb for him being featured , perhaps I didn't look closely enough .
When Archie features a , um , feature reprint character as a " back-up " in Double Digest , their section is introduced by a splash page -drawing - which may be newly drawn but they repeat it every issue ! Archie - they don't miss a trick .
The last two ADDs have featured Little Archie as the " second " other character to Pat .
