"Seeing an article about Demond Wilson’s death yesterday reminded me of how well he played his character on Sanford and Son. Thinking about it, he was a great straight man. He was the only straight man on a series filled with funny characters, not…"
"I actually remember The New Odd Couple. It was an interesting experiment, but I think it would have been a LOT better if they had leaned into what made it different with two Black men as the leads. They did not. They even went so far as to recycle…"
"RIP Demond Wilson Of course, I remember him as Lamont Sanford in Sanford and Son. I also remember him as Oscar Madison in The New Odd Couple with Ron Glass."
"For some people I can, for some people I can't. I can with, say, Michael Jackson and Bill Cosby, although with Cosby it gets more difficult to do so every single day. I can't with Ted Nugent."
"I don't know why Chariots of the Gods was such a big deal when I was a kid. The notion that aliens were the builders of such things as the Mayan pyramids -- and not actual Mayans -- is fundamentally racist. But instead of being laughed off the stage…"

"Yeah, it's too bad he was revealed to be such a horse's neck later in life. In addition to a slipcased set of his Dilbert work, I also have his three books, The Dilbert Principle*, The Dilbert Future** and The Joy of Work***.
*(A Cubicle's-Eye View…"
"Scott Adams is dead. The sad thing is, at one point I was a huge Dilbert fan - both of the comic strip and the animated series - and I hate to speak ill of the dead, but then he got hateful towards the end of his life (Or maybe just became more…"
