Quite a shocker, and only 52 years old.
I always loved his art on everything he did. I belive I was introduced to his work on Image's Desperados
I actually got to meet/work with him when I did volunteered for the Hero Initiative at one of the old Wizard World Texas conventions in Arlington. I remember even after the show shut down on either Friday or Saturday night, he set-up in the convention center foyer to continue to autograph items for fans. Very nice in all of the interactions I had with him
