This one-shot would be more appropriately titled “first appearance” rather than “origin.” It is a re-telling of the events surrounding Avengers #57-58 which adds little to the original and touches not at all on the android’s connection to the original Human Torch, which is what I was hoping to read (something more along the lines of the 2003 4-issue Vision limited series). I am far more impressed with the art (by Stephanie Perger) than I am the story (by Kyle Hhiggins and Alec Siegel).
Next up in the Avengers: Origins series is Luke Cage, but I’m not sure I’ll be buying that one.

I also have been puzzled why Marvel would need to put out another summary of the Vision, unless they were planning on doing something with him again soon. Otherwise, why go over this material again?
I agree that part of the most interesting aspect of the Vision's past is his tie to the Original Human Torch, but wasn't that very throughly covered in the extensive Avengers Forever flashbacks? I had the impression that the time stream split, and so there were TWO versions of the torch... one that became the Vision and one that didn't and continues.as the Torch.
I'm not sure that I'm interested in an entire line of the origins.
