Don't know how many basketball fans we've got on the board but I thought I'd start a thread anyways. Growing up I loved basketball. I played from 5th to 8th grade. I wasn't any good but loved to play. Plus I was short.

 

The NCAA tournament is underway and it's always fun to watch. I'll be rooting for the FSU Seminoles tomorrow when they play Texas A&M. Typically we don't have a lot of luck in the tournament, hopefully that'll change.

 

Today I just happened to stumble on a flow chart on who you should root for in the Tournament

My tournament strategy that has gotten me into the money 2 of the last 3 years. Pick only the higher seeds throughout the brackets, and then just make you own call on the final two and champ. Yes, it is boring, but I finish my bracket in just a couple of minutes. Plus, you are pretty much guaranteed not to look like an idiot.

That's a good strategy. Though, last year Kansas was a favorite and look what happened to them. That was a major bracket buster. Last year, now that I think of it had a lot of upsets. I usually go with the higher seeds as well. I will sometimes pick one or two upsets though.

I'm at a sports bar watching the FSU/Texas AM game. it started shakey but the Noles have a decent lead now. Hopefully they can hold on. We tend to fall apart in the 2nd half

After two or three consecutive appearances in the NCAA tourney, FSU finally moves to the next round! But we play Notre Dame who is ranked 2nd.

Ok so I'm going to stop doubting the Florida State Seminoles. We crushed Notre Dame last night. We play VSU on Friday, who's also out to prove something. Should be an intense game.

It's a few weeks past due but the NCAA tourney was pretty entertaining, well except for the last game. That was a let down, neither team played all that well.

 

I haven't been watching the NBA playoffs but from what I hear they've been pretty exciting.

Yeah that championship game was perhaps the worst basketball game I have ever seen. My roommate got up with about 10 minutes left, and just walked out.

 

I am hoping the Mavs make a deep playoff run. Way to disappointing in the playoffs since their '06 collapse in the finals.
