SO!!!!!!!!! As , Bat-Fans , we approach the - um , 46th Anniversary of the Adam West-starring BATMAN TV series originally shown upon the ABC network and produced by William Dozier...what's your thought about it ? Its legacy ? Fans' reactions to it , and yes , I guess that can be positioned as meaning " against , perhaps , the more ' general/mundane ' world "...???
Whataya think 'a it ?????????
Perhaps , especially , for " our " generation of fans , it sort of came to split descisions - even in the same fannish head ??? - between " Oh , boy !!!!! Sixties Pop fun !!!!!! " and " AAUUGGHH ! THAT's the reason nobody takes comic books about grown men running around in tights as unpaid vigilantes against super-criminals SERIOUSLY !!!!!!!!!!!..." ?!!
I haven't really seen the show in a longlonglonglonglong time , I don't recall ever noting it being on any broadcast TV channel in re-runs or even any prominent cable one in a long time and it's apparently been blocked from the TV episodes coming out on home video by some " mutual shoulders/p***s size " dispute between Fox and Warner Bros. for a long time...I've meant to put this subject up for a while , then , t'other nite , I saw a RedBox (??) video-renting machine at a 7-11 that sported in the " Family " section:
" BATMAN The Motion Picture " ( or " Movie " ? ) " ,
in a pseudo-Dark Knight kinda box design , but with Adam West and Burt Ward's names still clearly on display ( How times change , eh ????????? )...

..." Approach " ??? Or , obviously . " have reached/passed " ???????
