This one looks interesting. I hate to say it, but I prefer Vic Sage to Renee Montoya as The Question. He is the more interesting Question, especially when they use his Justice League International personality. She is more interesting as a lesbian cop in a macho culture, as opposed to a generic superhero retread.

Today Skybound and Image Comics, in partnership with Scott Dunbier’s Act 4 Publishing and Keven Gardner’s 12-Gauge Comics, announced the upcoming release of Jason Pearson’s Body Bags Artist’s Edition. A unique inside look at the stunning artistry of Jason Pearson that took the industry by storm in the '90s, this gorgeous, oversized Artist’s Edition will arrive in comic shops on September 23, 2026.
This Artist’s Edition collects over 240 pages from Jason Pearson’s critically acclaimed comic Body Bags and is 12”x17” and includes the entire groundbreaking miniseries, plus short stories, covers, promo pieces, and more! Set in the near future, Body Bags focuses on an estranged father/daughter relationship, inside the world of bounty hunters and cold-blooded killers. Clownface and Panda's story hit an emotional chord with many readers and has only grown in popularity since its release.
Each page of this modern comics masterpiece was written and drawn by Pearson, who considered Body Bags as the work that would most define his legacy. Also included are scans of Michael Golden’s covers from the original Body Bags miniseries.

The only better way to experience these pages is by looking at the artist’s drawing board, as they’re drawing.

Comics Legend Mike Mignola and Hellboy Universe veteran writer and iZombie creator Chris Roberson are teaming up with superstar artist Michael Avon Oeming (Powers) for Ghost of a Ghost, an all-new 4-issue limited series spinning out of Giant Robot Hellboy. Written by Mignola and Roberson with art by Oeming, colors by Taki Soma, and lettered by Clem Robins, the series chronicles Agent Jian’s psychedelic 1960s adventures. Ghost of a Ghost #1 will feature a cover by Oeming and a variant cover by Dave Johnson, with subsequent variant covers by Kevin Nowlan, Elsa Charretier, and Michael Cho.
“Many of the stories that I’ve worked on in the Hellboy Universe have started with a conversation, with me having the germ of idea or Mignola having a half-formed notion that he wants to explore,” explains Chris Roberson. “In some cases, the original inspiration is mostly mine and other times it’s mostly Mignola’s, but this one was a fully formed Mike Mignola idea from the beginning. At a convention a couple of years ago he sat down with me, Mike Oeming, and Taki Soma and explained to us what he had in mind for this character that he’d introduced in Giant Robot Hellboy, and then we got to work on realizing it. But from the very beginning we were all totally in sync with the vision that Mignola had for the character of Jian and her story, a jet-setting spy-fi thriller in the swinging Sixties, but approached in a way that we had never really seen used in a Hellboy Universe story before.”
Fans first met superspy Agent Jian in Mike Mignola and Duncan Fegredo’s 2023 Giant Robot Hellboy, where she was exposed to enkeladite — the irradiated substance known to cause sometimes monstrous mutations. Now, she’s working with a mysterious spy ring and using her newfound powers to keep enkeladite from falling into the wrong hands — but just whose hands are the wrong ones is harder to determine than she thought.
“I’m excited to be working on another Mignola project with writer Chris Roberson and colorist Taki Soma,” says artist Michael Avon Oeming. “We’re bringing a fun 1960s retro spy vibe into the Hellboy world, and if you have half as much fun reading it as we did making it, you’re going to love it.”
I don't think everyone remembers the '60s in the same way (assuming they remember them at all).

I wonder why it's being canceled. I thought these books were doing well. (At least judging by how many they put out.) Maybe it was always the plan to end at #15, but if so, it's a strange number for collections.

In the summer of 1949, Marvel decided to bring its successful sports pulps to the Atlas comic-book line, launching Sport Stars #1, which became Sports Action with its second issue, the same name as one of his most successful sports pulps of the 1930s. Across fourteen tumultuous issues, the artistic cream of the Timely/Atlas crop (Syd Shores, Joe Maneely, Bill Everett, Bob Powell, Gene Colan, George Tuska, Bernard Krigstein, and others) told biographical stories about sports heroes of the 1930s and 1940s in all the major sports: Knute Rockne (football), Hack Wilson (baseball), Man O’War (horse racing), Herman Sandow (physical culture), Bronco Nagurski (football), Ralph Kiner (baseball), Phil Rizzuto (baseball), Warren Spahn (baseball), Sugar Ray Robinson (boxing), Jackie Robinson (baseball), and Niles Kinnick, the 1939 Heisman Trophy winner of the Iowa Hawkeyes, among a score of others! These never before collected stories add to the historical Timely/Atlas tapestry, providing another window into the variety and breadth of Marvel’s early history.
I can't really say I'm interested in sports comics either, no matter who made them or when. But I suppose I need to read this one to call myself a well-rounded comics fan. Besides, some of the art might be really good.
I also have to mention that these 70-year-old reprints are marked "mature readers" in the solicitations. That's just weird.
