...Is that its original US title ?
As far as I know. It's the title I've seen on posters.
I found the film more enjoyable than the first. The everyman character is played by Bernard Cribbins, who had a recurring role in the new series as Wilfred Mott (Donna Noble's grandfather).
Would you believe? MY introduction to Doctor Who! The first time I actually turned it on late, I came in just as Cushing & Cribbins were walking along the river, and this metal THING comes up out of the water. Saw the film several times in the next couple years. Also saw the earlier one, but was never quite as impressed with it. The 2nd film is STILL my favorite Dalek story (I like it far better than the TV version). And Susan is just adorable. (I also liked Louise, but she wasn't given very much to do.)
I think some of Gerry Anderson's people were moonlighting on this, as Barry Gray did the theme song, and it looks like Derek Meddings may have built that spaceship!!!
I've also seen Bernard Cribbins in TWO-WAY STRETCH, THE WRONG ARM OF THE LAW, THE MOUSE ON THE MOON, CARRY ON JACK, CASINO ROYALE, THE AVENGERS and FAWLTY TOWERS.
